Bree had to shuffle all the utensils into one hand before catching the water flask Ryan had tossed her.

“What you planning doing with those?” Ryan asked Bree pointing to the knife, fork and spoons she had picked up.

"Probably toss 'em at you," Tuck said as he stode into the dark mess. "What are you little launchies doing in here anyways? Thought you'd all be hiding under your bunks."

"Tuck..." Bree was about to tell him to stuff it and leave them alone, but decided against it. "...what are doing here? Shouldn't you and Zeke be cleaning up our old barracks with the rest of Sphinx?"

Tuck walked right up to Bree, stopping only a few inches from her, he bend down and barely whispered, "I'd watch what you say Camo , wouldn't want all your little launchie buddies knowing it was you who asked us to trash it and steal that trophy now would you?"

Had the lights been on, everyone would have seen Bree's face turn red in anger. Her teeth and hands clenched, Bree forced her breathing to slow.

"Let me take those off your hands," Tuck said as he grabbed all of the utensils from Bree's small hands and passed them to Zeke who stood behind him. "You won't be needing those."

"How would..." Bree's voice which had started out loud had now softened as Tuck's words ran back through her mind, "would you know?"

Cole stepped back into the Mess to see that they too had some unexpected company. He wasn’t sure if Abe and the Badger Commander had followed him or not. He could see that there was tension in the room with the appearance of these two soldiers. Cole couldn’t see what army they belonged to, nor did he recognize them. But something in the way that Ryan was looking at them, made it pretty obvious that he knew them well enough.

Keeping the passkey safely inside his pocket, Cole stepped around the two soldiers as they were taking the utensils from Bree.

Dick followed the boy with the plastic disk as he quickly passed him. The other two boys ad stopped. Definetly followers and this one going by was definetly a leader. Dick didn't mind. It was good for this kid to lead.

Dick followed the boy to the mess where a Sphinx was leaning over a girl wearing the exact same Uniform as the other three boys he'd been with. Dick spoke up because the boy looked meanicing and looked as if he was threatning the little girl he was leaning over. The boy reached and grabbed the utensils she was holding in her hand and passed them to his partner in crime. "Hey! What are you doing?" Dick yelled in his most authoritive disctative voice. He took the triangles out of his pocket and held them in his fist. While talking Dick had moved torwards the boy and put himself between the two partners. With his back to the kid with the utensils. He tapped the boy's shoulder with his finger. The one who had grabbed the utensils and had been whispering menaclingly to the kid. He knew this was an unexpected turn of events and Dick was strangely glad that he had come.

"The lord works in mesterious ways," Dick could hear his mo in his head. She was so dumb. What did His father dying do for him other than bring him misery? Dick stood there though trying his best to look like a commander.

Abe watched as the Commander left and he walekd in to the mess behind him. Before Abe had even begun to lok for Bree the Commander had run up and got between to Sphinx's that were bullying Bree and Ryan to the looks of it. More Bree really. Abe ran up and stood behind Bree and Watched as The Commander began talking.

Black Sheep Loki raised a slight eye. He had been quiet most of the time and only once the commander started to speak did he actually raise his head. Most things hardly mattered to him, but this slightly did. It was interesting if nothing else. Loki pushed his plate away which he had only been poking at with his fork most of the time to watch the scene before him just as Abe entered and began to walk towards them. His eyes narrowed. Utensils? Weapons possibly? He hadn't been watching but quickly he was picking things up, attempting to infer anything that could help him with the situation. As if he even needed to infer the situation. He rubbed the back of his head with his small fist, his legs nearly touching the floor. Though he made no move to go and intercept anything. He wasn't like that and either way it would be foolish. He didn't know any of them, watching from the side lines just seemed best at the moment until further notice.

Ryan watched as Zeke and Tuck entered the Mess answering his question to Bree. He stopped breathing for a heartbeat as he remembered what these two had just done to them in their own barracks, not even a day ago.

He was still standing holding the thermal flask when Tuck walked up to Bree and whispered something into her ear. It didn’t take a brain surgeon to work out what he said to her. Ryan was about to step closer to try and deflect some of their attention towards him rather than Bree, when he saw Cole enter the barracks followed closely by an older soldier and then Abe.

Ryan instantly assumed that this new soldier must be with Tuck and Zeke, but then he noticed that their uniforms were different. Before he could resister what was going on, the older, unknown soldier walked quickly towards Tuck yelling at him. Ryan glanced at Abe and Cole for some sign that he was what he appeared to be. Arching his eyebrows Ryan waited for and answer from either of them.

He had passed one of the two intruders and heading around Bree when the other snatched the fork and knives out of Bree's hand. A couple fell to the floor making a muted clanging noise.

“Let me take those off your hands. You won’t be needing those.” Said the closest boy to Bree. She clearly looked startled and she answered him in a low voice that Cole couldn’t hear.

“Hey! What are you doing?” The Badger Commander yelled at the boys.

He caught the look he was being given from Ryan, who looked at the Badger Commander and then back at him and Abe. Obviously searching for some indication whether he was with them or not. Cole winked back and gave a hidden thumbs up sign indicating that he was in fact with him and Abe.

Not being one to turn away from a flight regardless of the consequences, Cole immediately stepped forward pushing himself between Bree and the older, bigger soldier.

“Hey, lay off picking on launchy girls you bugger loving turd fart. I don’t think you’re her type, and she’s mine anyway.” Cole said. He knew that he probably had the support of the others in the room and thought that they had a pretty good chance of standing up for themselves. Especially with the Badger Commander on their side, but Cole wasn’t sure how willing he would be to get involved in a fight. It’s not the things that Commanders did, or that’s what Cole thought anyway. Commanders are to set examples, not break rules. But sometimes, things just had to be done, especially when it involved one of your friends.

Cole continued taunting the boy in front of him. “I don’t know if you can count, mate . . . . but you’re a wee bit out numbered here. Why don’t you just go back to the cave you crawled out of and leave us alone neh?”

He took a small step back and relaxed his shoulders. As he stepped back, he held out his arm behind him and gently pushed Bree backwards, away from anything that might happen. He figured that these two couldn't bee all that stupid to realise something more important was going on around the school, and that fighting would be pointless. So he tried to reason with them. “Unless you didn’t actually come looking for a fight? You may not have noticed being a bit dim witted and all, but things are going wrong here with the school. Now you can either bugger off, or help us.” Cole looked at the others and then back up to Tuck. “Well?”

Loki stood now his eyes narrowing, not many knew the name he went by, Black Sheep seemed the name most suitable. What was going on? Perhaps his idle and near obliviousness to what had been going on at the school wasn't quite wise at this time now. He wasn't sure why he was here in the first place, besides what the orphan lady spoke of. A slight smirk formed on the edge of his lips, though it was hard to see as he watched the seen before him regarding Cole, Bree and the others. His eyes scanned them- something more? He wasn't one to get involved, but it soon came to interest him. He didn't wander near just stood out from the table and away from it, not much more.

//ooc-sorry, my comp died and didn't let me post a couple of days ago and when i went to the library earlier today, the power decided to go out halfway through writing this post. So now that i've written this a couple times...here goes-ooc//

Tuck had been so focused on Bree and the other two laumchies that were in the mess hall, that he didn't even notice the footsteps come up behind him.

"Hey! What are you doing?" someone yelled from behind him.

Tuck would have turned around at the tap on his shoulder, but before he could do so, one of the launchies came marching up to him, placing himself between him and Bree.

"Hey, lay off picking on launchy girls you bugger loving turd fart. I don't think you're her type, and she's mine anyways," said the launchy.

This kid's got guts. If it were any other soldier the kid would have been beaten in a second. Tuck was never one to beat people up, that was Zeke's job. Besides, Tuck knew there were much more fun ways to torture someone. If he only knew what she had done... Despite his best efforts, Tuck began to smile and forced down the laughter that yearned to break free.

"I don't know if you can count mate....but you're a wee outnumbered here. Why don't you just go back to the cave you crawled out of and leave us alone neh?" the kid continued.

Bree stood there in utter silence watching Cole take on Tuck, she had never had so many people trying to help her at once. Guilt washed over her as the events of the past two days ran through her mind. I betrayed them...betrayed all of them and still they stick up for me, protect me. I don't deserve their protection after what I've done. Kami, Stal, Mereo, Ryan and now Cole have all stuck their necks out for me, but what have I done for them? Bree forced her tears back.

"Unless you didn't actually come looking for a fight? You may not have noticed being a bit dim witted and all, but things are going a bit wrong here with the school. Now you can either bugger off, or help us," said Cole.

Cole pushed her back gently, trying to get her away from a fight she knew would never happen.

"Well?" Cole said as he looked from the others and back up at Tucker.

Tuck kept his cool as this little kid spat his insults, but he could feel Zeke closing the gap behind him, stepping ever closer to whoever was behind him. Zeke always had his back in everything they did. If a fight broke out, Tuck couldn't hope for anyone better than Zeke.

"You better watch your mouth," came Zeke's booming voice.

Never taking his eyes off the little launchy Tuck said, "Down Zeke." This would hopefully put a stop to what he knew Zeke was thinking about. "He's right though, you'd better watch that mouth of yours or it's gonna get you in trouble. I may one of the few who wont knock your head off for what came out of your mouth just now."

Bree took a few steps forward and stepped into the remaining space between Cole and Tucker. She turned her head and stared straight into Cole's eyes. Placing her hand on his chest she said in a voice still small and not quite her own, "Thank you Cole, but I can take care of myself you know and around here, I'm nobody's girl."

"Why don't you listen to the little lady," said Tuck, his smile broadening more.

Bree's head whipped around, her soft expression turned hard as she stared up at Tuck. "And you..." she said finding her voice and her confidence, "...you, keep your mouth shut. We don't have time for fighting, we need to figure out what is going on around here. We're headed to the Communication's Center, so you can either do nothing and freeze or come with us and help." Bree pointed to her fellow launchmates when she said this. "But let's make one thing clean shall we. We're not taking orders from you Tucker James McKinley. This will be a joint effort since we've got..."

Bree scanned the darkened room spying a seperate uniform on the kid behind Tuck and another just off to the side. "Three different groups here. Hopefully one of 'em," she pointed to the two boys she didn't know, "is either a toon leader or a commander. We have our launch leader with us here." though he seems to be a bit out of it right now.

Ryan couldn’t believe the speed in which things were escalating. All of a sudden, here was Cole trying to play hero in a time when people needed to be calm.

“COLE!! Get over here…. NOW!” Ryan said in a voice that didn’t invite argument. “Bree’s right. We need to get moving.” Ryan looked at Abe and said, “You’ve got the map, so you’re in the lead.” Turning back to Tuck and Zeke he added, “I know we didn’t get on last time we met, but this time it’s different. If you’re coming with us then fine, follow him.” He said indicating Abe. “If not then I wish you luck.”

Scanning the room for anything else that they could take with them, he saw that there was someone else with them that he'd hadn't seen when they came in. The movement of the boy standing up by a table not too far off caught his attention. How did I miss him? Ryan thought. He called out to the boy. "Hey, you may want to come with us rather than being alone in here mate." Assuming he would join them, his attention went back to the group close at hand.

Ryan had noted the three triangled badge that the soldier who had come in with Cole and Abe was holding and assumed that he was indeed a Commander. Badger Army going by the uniform. Ryan wanted to have a talk with him. “Bree, Stal, the Commander of Badger Army and I will take up the rear. Let’s move people!” Then he remembered something. Looking back at Abe, he said "Who's got the key?"

Abe watched from his standing point, behind Bree and now Cole, at the ensuing events until he was addressed.

“Hey, lay off picking on launchy girls you bugger loving turd fart. I don’t think you’re her type, and she’s mine anyway.” yelled cole. It was weird hearing Cole claim her as his. Were they in a romance or something? They couldn't be not yet. He didn't have the hormones unless he was faking it so that he could pretend he was old enough. He could be faking it because thats what some of the older kids did.

Cole continued, "I don’t know if you can count, mate . . . . but you’re a wee bit out numbered here. Why don’t you just go back to the cave you crawled out of and leave us alone neh?” Why did Cole have to taunt the boy like this. Showing that he was protecting Bree was enoguh and this boy wasn't stupid. He had made it into Battle School. Cole was taunting and not looking at the situation like it should have been looked at. Taunting is not what they needed.

Then Cole once more continued, "Unless you didn’t actually come looking for a fight? You may not have noticed being a bit dim witted and all, but things are going wrong here with the school. Now you can either bugger off, or help us.” Cole looked at the others and then back up to Tuck. “Well?” Abe was a little comforted. Cole wasn't trying to pick a fight he was just protecting Bree with a little Attitude. Of course the attitude should be tuned down a little. Bree started moving back because Cole was pushing her so Aber had to scoot back himself. He felt the cold steel of one of the tables press up into the small of his back.

The deep voice from the boy in back was like listening to a subwoofer, "You better watch your mouth." The boy's voice sent a shiver down Abe's spine and a sliver a doubt entered his mind.

"Down Zeke." Like a dog being told to stop, and he did. "He's right though, you'd better watch that mouth of yours or it's gonna get you in trouble. I may one of the few who wont knock your head off for what came out of your mouth just now." The boy didn't seem to mad about it but he was definetly annoyed.

Then Bree moved she walked up between Cole and the larger boy and then cole was directly in front of Abe. She looked at Cole as she passed him and placed a hand on his chest. Were they going "out"? Bree said to him, "Thank you Cole, but I can take care of myself you know and around here, I'm nobody's girl."

Then the other boy who Cole had been taunting added his two sense, "Why don't you listen to the little lady?" Why didn't this kid get it? This situation was not about pride or having fun we needed to leave but the older boy taunted because his ride was at stake. What a fool.

Then Bree spoke, "And you... you, keep your mouth shut. This will be a joint effort since we've got..." At least somone knew what needed to be done. This fighting and taunting was getting us nowhere.

Bree once again spoke up after glancing around the room briefly, "Three different groups here. Hopefully one of 'em," she pointed to the Badger Commander and another boy, "is either a toon leader or a commander. We have our launch leader with us here." abe didn't know where the othewr boy had come from but he was part of our Launch.

Then Ryan yelled obviously ticked at Cole's aggressive approach to solving the problem. “COLE!! Get over here…. NOW! Bree’s right. We need to get moving.” Ryan looked at Abe and said, “You’ve got the map, so you’re in the lead.” Abe pulled the Map out of his pocket and held it up for Ryan to see.

Turning back to Tuck and Zeke Ryan added, “I know we didn’t get on last time we met, but this time it’s different. If you’re coming with us then fine, follow him.” He said indicating Abe. “If not then I wish you luck.”

Abe felt a little weird being put into the lead but he could do it. He was a battle school kid selected out of hundreds to hundreds to lead. He was one of the brighteset military minds to date and so were all the kids around him. He could lead. He was just as smart as them.

Ryan then yelled something to the boy who had remained quiet, but Abe didn't catch it. He was to lost in his own thought.

“Bree, Stal, the Commander of Badger Army and I will take up the rear. Let’s move people!” Ryan yelled. Looking back at Abe, he said "Who's got the key?"

Abe nodded his head towards Cole and smiled. Abe didn't wait for another moment. He walked out of the Mess and followed the mergency route that as on the map. Luckily the doors were open. Abe got to the first pole and looked back to see who was following and who wasn't.

Cole knew he has said too much, but couldn’t help himself once he’d started. It wasn’t that he disrespected authority, in fact he responded to it well if Cole trusted whoever was giving out orders. He didn’t respect these two clowns, which is why he’d said what he had.

When Bree pushed in front of him proclaiming that she was ‘nobody’s girl’, Cole was a little taken aback. He hadn’t actually meant it of course. Though he did feel some attraction to her, but not in the way that she seemed to have taken it. He was only six years old after all, and any thoughts of the opposite sex other than they were different hadn’t even entered his mind. Cole decided to let it slide since everyone else seemed annoyed at him now for doing what he did.

Okay, he thought. Last time I stand up for anyone. Let them get their brains knocked out. See if I care!

Bree had pushed Cole out of the way and others were talking now. All he heard was Ryan telling them to move out and asking who had the key. Abe nodded towards Cole, but he didn’t respond. He simply followed Abe out the door giving Zeke the finger before leaving.

“I know we didn’t get on last time we met, but this time it’s different. If you’re coming with us then fine, follow him.” He said indicating Abe. “If not then I wish you luck.”

"Hey, no hard feelings about earlier? Just following orders man," said Tuck as he shrugged. "guess we'll go with you guys, we ain't got anything better to do at the moment. Besides, might be good for you little ones if you have some," Tuck flexed, "muscle around."

Tuck watched as the little runt who had mouthed off to him swept past them, following a kid Tuck hadn't even seen standing behind Bree. His eyes widened as the runt flipped Zeke the finger before leaving the mess. That kid had made a big mistake, Tuck had given him a second chance...a chance not to get the snot beat out of him, Zeke's temper could only be held off for so long. It was like a bull seeing red. The kid would get beat, hopefully not now.

Tuck turned to look back at Bree and in a hushed voice said, "You better keep a handle on that kid, he's pushing it."

"I'm not his mother. And you'd better keep a tight leash on him for the time being," Bree replied crossing her arms across her chest.

"So it's off the the comm center," Tuck said as he grabbed Zeke by the back of his neck and walked out of the mess.

"Ryan are there any more canteens back there we could fill up? Looks like our recon group has multiplied," Bree said as she walked to the table where Zeke had left the eating utensils. This time Bree only grabbed a few forks and knives from the pile she had once held.

"I was only thinking of using them in case we needed to pry open or unscrew things, even short a circuit board if we needed," her voice quiet again and her head hung. "I didn't mean to start another fight, it seems like all I do."

Just following orders ? Ryan thought. He shook his head and smiled at Tuck. Did he think Ryan was an idiot and would believe that? Following orders is one thing, but Ryan saw the look on their faces when they were trashing his barracks. Even asked for by one of the launch members, they still enjoyed every moment of it. Ryan remembered the humiliation he’d had to suffer being tied up and having a dirty sock shoved into his mouth and the tension it had caused between Bree, Stal and himself for the better part of a day.

Walking away from Tuck and Zeke, Ryan caught the hand gesture from Cole and silently moaned to himself. Closing his eyes and clenching his teeth, Ryan wondered how long it would be until he got himself in serious trouble. Showing a lack of respect for their launch Mom by calling him Captain Crunch to his face and inferring that he liked to watch little boys undress was one thing, but to purposefully antagonize Zeke was just asking for trouble and they couldn’t afford it.

Just yesterday, Cole had punched him in the stomach for no good reason and Ryan did nothing to respond. Today, Ryan felt that he would have to do something that would get him back in line. He’d make a good soldier or commander one day, but not before he grows out of this childish behavior.

As Bree suggested, he went back to the cupboard to retrieve extra canteens. He threw the canteens at Zeke and Tuck and walked back to Bree.

“I was only thinking of using them in case we needed to pry open or unscrew things, even short circuit boards if we needed.” After a pause she continued. “I didn’t mean to start another fight, it seems like all I do.”

“It’s not you starting fights today. For some reason we think that you need protecting. I gave up on that theory yesterday, but it looks like Cole hasn’t caught on yet that you can take care of yourself.” He paused slightly looking at Zeke and Tuck. “You did a good job with these two. I think you prevented a fight today. If it weren’t for you I think Cole would be in serious pain right now, so don’t be too hard on yourself okay? Were gonna need you. And good idea with the knife and forks.” Ryan gave her a soft punch on the arm before looking around to see if the other boy standing by the table was going to join them or not. He hadn’t made a move so Ryan figured that he was staying put. The mess would be relatively safe so he had no worries about leaving him there.

Seeing that Abe and Cole had already left, Ryan took hold of Bree’s arm and started walking out. He called out to the Badger Army Commander, “Didn’t catch your name sorry.” Ryan waited expecting an answer.

It was strange seeing the little girl sticking up for herself. She didn't need the protection that Dick had wanted to give the launchies. She wasn't going to fight. Neither was this kid. Dick stood their but side-stepped out from bettween the two armie soldiers. Dick stood to the side a little not quite feeling like a commander. Dick looked around and figured he might as well help the little kids carry some stuff. Then a boy called out, “Didn’t catch your name sorry.”

Dick responded, "Dick. Commander Badger Army. you guys wait just a sec and tell your little freind with the map to slow it down. We don't got to run to the comm center.

Dick walked back to the kitchen and opened the freezer. Nothing in their could be eaten without cooking it first. Then he walked into a fridge where he found some bread rolls that were set up to be eaten later today. Dick picked up a large bag that was sitting on the side and filled it with them. then he grabbed another bag and filled it with water. who knew how long they could last without water or food. Dick walked out his triangles back in is pocket. He carried each of the bags in his hands. They were still there he han't ben gone two minutes though so he had't expected them to leave. "Alright, Lets head out." Dick nodded and walked torwards the boys and stopped behind all the kids trying to usehr them out of the room.

And then he left them, walking back into the kitchen, Bree took this moment to speak with Ryan alone, well almost alone as she looked over at Stal.

"Ryan..." she said quietly, "thank you. For protecting me...it means a lot." Bree had the urge to hug him, to show him how much it meant to her to have people who cared enough to stick out their necks for her, but she told herself that it would only embarass the two of them.

"Alright, Lets head out," Dick said as he reemerged from the kitchen carrying bag of what looked like rolls.

"We'd better or we might lose Cole and Abe," Bree said as she walked away from Ryan and placed herself back underneath the blanket Stal had wrapped around him and walked out of the mess hall.

Arklan entered the mess, along with several other launchies who had joined them from the barracks. the others who had headed this way from the Comm Cneter would be along soon, he hoped.

"Well, here we are... at the mess. ok then... now what?" he stood, looking around.

Gabriel watched as his Launch group entered the mess hall and got their food. He wondered vaguely whether or not he should partake, and hung back to observe.

He decided to take a seat at the table with his peers, and listened to the conversation.

Lila followed Alex still thinking how much she hated her. Why was she even exsistent? Why had she made it into battleschool? It was just another sign that the IF system was horrible. They arived at the mess to see a multitde of launchies gathered in it. Also in the Mess were Sphinx and Raven soldiers. Maybe goign to the mess was a good idea.

Gabriel listened intently as the conversation turned to the 'battle room'. As he slowly munched his food, he vaguely contemplated the relevance of the word, when his mind jumped on the image of the uniformed students that he saw earlier. Surely they are contingents in this 'battle room'? Faction would most likely be a better word, but what was the goal of the battle room? How would he participate and would he become the best? Gabriel contemplated these things as his launch group turned away from the 'battle room' into a discussion of ages.

Taker quietly sat down at the Launchy table and looked at his food. Not very appealing. He looked up and down the table to look at faces. Not very appealing. He kept the seats on eithor side of him open, just incase others more couragous than him would venture to sit next to him. Taker didn't want to make a move. What if they didn't want him...He didn't want to intrude on anything. Besides, It was easier to sit by himself and watch other happy children...eaisier, but more lonely. Taker didn't want tothers to think he was weird, so he looked silently down at him food and ate.

OOC- Sup, It's me, Mattew Peck!!! or Pasty bloater. W/E. I'm back as a Launchy. Pretty cool huh?

Fish looked around the Mess and noticed that there wasn't as many people there as usual. After walking a lap or two around the Mess and finding nothing of particular interest, Fish went up and got something to eat.

On his way to a table, Fish noticed a launchy sitting unusually distanced from the others; and desided that he was as good a person as any to ask, so Fish desided to ask him the question.

"Hey you, kid... Yah you sitting sort of by yourself, I have a question for you. Have you seen the commander of the Badger Army? Oh, and you can call me Fish."

OOC~ That was not ment to be rude, sorry if it sounds that way. OOC~

Bismark walked into the mess hall slowly. He looked around himself. Scattered around the room he could see some of his former launchmates. After his welcom into Badger army he was tempted to go and seek their companionship. But he didn't, that was behind him now. Now he needed to find a way to get some power in this army.

He saw one of the girls he'd seen fighting earlier and he sat down near her.

"Hi, I'm in Badger now...I guess...where's the commander? I need to report to him right?" Bismark said to her. He held out the orders that he'd found on his bunk earlier that day.

Slightly shocked by the fact somebody in an army was talking to him, Taker looked up from his food and at the kid.
"Ahhhh, Hey Fish. They call me Taker." After a breif Pause, Taker spoke again. "Badger Commander huh. Actually, I was just looking for the Badger Commander Myself. I just got transfered there and need to check in. Got any ideas where to look?"

OOC-Check OOC Badger Army. If you guys are restarting Badger. I'm in.

ooc - Dude fish...Bismark is brandnew in the army...so like nobody know's who he is unless he knew them before leaving his launch group. Did Fish? And Another Taker you're suposed to e-mail AbeLincoln before joining the army...right? ooc

Bismark heard someone calling his name and he turned towards the voice.

It was another one of the soldiers in Badger. But of course he didn't recognize him because he'd never socialized with the older kids before.

How does he know my name? Bismark thought as he said aloud "Yah? What's up?"

OOC~ Bismark, we posted together a little in the Badger hallway, and do you mind if I call you Bis? OOC~

Surprised that both kids responded, Fish stood there thinking for a moment, then decided on a course of action.

“Alright guys, here’s what I think we should do; Bismark, I think you should get something to eat because you may not get another chance to eat for a while. Then we can all sit down and finish our meals. After we’ve eaten, we should find Alex, the A toon leader, if anyone knows where our missing commander. If Alex doesn’t know his whereabouts, then we ask around. I don’t know if we’ll find out where the commander is, but I do think that we should stick together.”

Well, I guess this is the best I can do for now. You gotta start somewhere right? Bismark thought already coming up with ten ways that he could use this person.

"Ok, that sounds good to me," he said, on the inside though, he resented having to cooperate with someone he felt was inferior.

Gabriel watched silently as the converstation between the boys played out. His mind began to wonder and pounced on the concept of 'Badger Army'. He knew from then on, and from what he had gleaned from the other children's converstaions, different armies were used to instill competition between students, and weed out those unsuitable for command.
Be a good soldier, get in a good army. I'll never follow another . . . but I'll do what I can to maneuver myself into a position where people follow me . . . for that is the only way to win at this war. With that, Gabriel got up and dumped his tray, returned to his seat, and began processing the necessary personality changes he would have to make to represent an ultimate soldier.

Yes, he could do this.

OOC- Gez Bis, your character is just little conniving prick…isn’t he!

Taker Nodded at Fishes suggestion and continued to eat his food. Taker smiled to him-self as he realized for the first time that he had…friends. People willing to talk to him, sit with him. There was no reason people wouldn’t like him, but he was often to shy to talk to anyone. Once he got comfortable with a group of kids…He became the life of the party! Taker shoveled more food into his mouth as he looked to Fish and spoke to him. “So, Think you can give me your life story in 5 minutes?”

ooc thats the idea [Big Grin] ooc

Bismark wasn't terribly hungry, so he nibbled at his food slowly.

“So, Think you can give me your life story in 5 minutes?” one of the kids that Bismark had been talking to said.

Oh wonderful, now we get to have a little buddy, buddy time! he thought.

Then he got an idea.

"Why are we going to look for the commander at all? I mean he obviously has no intrest with his army, he probably got iced or something. Maybe we should get someone here to take charge. You know replace the commander?" Bismark said and he knew just who he'd nominate when they went along with his plan.

Fish thought over Bis's plan for only a moment, then decided against it.

"I still think we should inquire into the where abouts of our commander because that's our orders. We have no idea as to when things will get back to the way they should, for all we know this could be a test the adults are giving us to see who can be counted on to follow orders in a crisis. We should ask around a little, maybe gather the support of others, and then... if we still have no idea where the commander... we use our crew to maintain control over the mess till we have either orders from the commander, or the adults stop us. So how do you like those plans, we rule together and hold the real power the best way."

OOC- Srry fer the absence guys and yeah. I'm back. Had some weird stuff goign on, I don't want to talk about it. -OOC

Lila sat in the mess wondering why the kids would go up and grab the food the lunch ladies left out during the day as snacks to hungry little kids. She was already feeling the annoying bubble come up inside of her. SHe wasn't going to stand for this. She tok of her cool face and jumped up onto a table.

"Hey Guys! Listen up!," She was speaking to everyone in the mess, the launchies, Sphinx, Ravens, and Badgers, "We got a serious issue on our hands. Our commander didnt show up to practice, there was gravity in the battle room, we have got to figure out what is messing with the station. We came here because it's a meeting place for all the groups. As you can see we all had the same idea of going to the mess so we are here as a group. Right now the boundaries of armies don't matter but we need a figurehead We need someone who can lead. I know that I could but I also know that someof you could't follow me," she lanced back at Alex. "What I'm trying to say is that are commander is missing. We need to find him. This is are most important goal Badger. If he doesn't find us soon we'll head out to his quarters."

OOC- If you are new then it's fine but make sure you posted a profile and have read both VBS For Halfwits and the Integration OOC. And again I'm sorry for the abscene. Dick, THe badger army commander is going to show up now in like a few posts. I'll bring him in tommorrow so you guys have time to react to Lila's speach. -OOC

Poor simple fool, Bismark thought, if the teachers were testing us it's a test to see who will take charge in a crisis. I guess I'll have to find someone else then.

He was tempted to say this aloud, but Bismark was smarter than that.

You never get anywhere by insulting someone, he reminded himself.

"Well, the way I see it, someone should take charge in the meantime," Bismark told the boy, "I obviously can't do it, I'm still wearing a launchie's uniform. No one would follow me."

Yet he thought.

"We need someone who the others respect. Someone older, someone who will lead," he continued.

Someone who I can manipulate.

Suddenly Bismark heard something that interested him, alot.

"boundaries of armies don't matter but we need a figurehead We need someone who can lead," someone was saying, "I know that I could but I also know that some of you could't follow me. What I'm trying to say is that are commander is missing. We need to find him. This is are most important goal Badger. If he doesn't find us soon we'll head out to his quarters."

Ah...perfect. Bismark thought.

He looked at the boy he'd been talking too and dragged a name out.

"Fish, I think I know just who we're looking for."

"Thats a great thought but what do you want us to do?" Nikki spoke up it had been a while since she had talked. "I mean are we suposed to run around grabbing older looking kids and aske 'Are you my comander?' No, we need to form a search party if we are going to send kids looking."

Nikki took in a deap breath she had unintentionally hurt herself in mocking the speakers idea. She could remember all to well the story of the little bird who lost it's mother and went around asking Are you my mother? She had used to fantisies that she was the bird and she finally found her mother. But that was when she was young, stupid, urealistic, she new better now.

"Fish, I think I know just who we're looking for."

Fish looked at Bis as if he had lost his mind.
"I think she's too unstable, she's been in several agruments on the way to the mess. Not the mention that her toon is unsure of her ability to lead. If we take control of the Mess through someone else, then it needs to be someone more stable, and less likely to lead with their own judgement."

Fish thought for a moment; and then spoke again.

"I don't think that the best person for the job has entered the picture yet. I think right now we should be patient and as I said before play 'I'm a good little soldier how follows orders' and 'try' to find badger commander. Maybe we can take control of this 'search and rescue'..."

Just then Fish stood on top of the table he was sitting at and yells,"Does anyone here know where the Badger commander is."

Now that Fish was done eating it was time for action.

Oh the best person for the job has entered the picture, but you don't know that yet, Bismark thought to himself.

Then Fish lept on top of the table and asked everyone if they knew where Badger Army's commander was.

No Fish, no don't do that, well I'll just have to make the best of it, Bismark screamed in his head.

Bismark got up from his seat, whispered "Fish, I gotta do something real quick," and strode over to where the girl he'd seen fighting in the hall was standing.

"I'll follow you!" he yelled loudly, "and so will Fish!"

He winked at Fish and hoped that Fish wouldn't do anything stupid.

Taker silently ate his food, shocked by the actions of those around him. Had Battle school gone mad!? Take over the Mess hall, The Badger Army!? What were they thinking. Fish must be right, this has to be a test fromt he teachers, and Taker wouldn't be involved in any Coup of the Mess hall. He would stay as quite and normal as long as possible. Perhaps Taker should have thought twice before making friends with insane Launchies...

"I'll follow you!" he yelled loudly, "and so will Fish!"

He winked at Fish and hoped that Fish wouldn't do anything stupid.

Fish stood there with a look of confussion as to what Bis just said, "I have no idea who this person is why should I follow her?" Fish thought, but then he saw Bis wink and decided that for now there was no reason to argue. I can always say that I never agreed to follow her if it goes terribly wrong later.

As Fish stepped down from the table he heard Bishop ask if he was done with his jello.

"Sure, you can have it Bishop, I done eating, in fact help yourself to anything left on my plate, but please stick close. I can feel trouble coming quickly, and I think I'm going to be able to use all the help I can get. Are you with me Bishop, can I trust you?" Fish whispered to Bishop.

Fish then turned to Taker and said to him, "Can I count on you to Taker, will you stick with me and help me through this... this... mess, excuse the pun? I'm not sure what I want to do yet, but I think Bis may be headed for trouble and I'm not sure how long I'll be able to trust him. All I know right now is that we need to stay united, for divided we amount to nothing, but together we can stand strong and not end up in some make shift jail, or trapped into doing something we don't want."

OOC~ Taker, if your in Badger and want to know whats going on, check the Badger OOC. ~OOC

With the jello already on his spoon, Bishop agreed to back fish. "Hey if you guys wanna maybe we can go to the game room I seen this cool looking game there. Bishop sat pondering a while longer, wondering to himself, "are we allowed any physical contact here?".

Taker thought a moment and starred down at his plate. Taker thought that siding with Fish was better then siding with a madman like Bis.
“Sure, Fish. I’m with you.” Taker said to Fish quietly. Starring back down at his food Taker couldn’t help but feel on edge. It seemed the whole Battle school had gone mad. But it was better to take sides with a friend then to stand alone with uncertainty. Taker stuck a fork into a carrot and ate it. Or at least, I hope he’s my friend…

Fish heard Taker's quiet reply. He looked over at Taker, smiled reassuringly, and said, " Good, you won't regret it 'cause I won't lead you wrong."

Fish looked around at the two friends he had assembled so far, not a very big group yet, he thought, oh well.

"Hey guys, if you ever have any thoughts as to what we should do as a group, let me know, and we all can talk the ideas over," Fish said to his two new found friends.

Taker felt more confident with Fish's initial reply, then was shocked by the next one.
Good, you won't regret it 'cause I won't lead you wrong."
'Lead!' Taker thought. 'Lead!' he thought again. Taker couldn't beleive it. When he said he was in he thought it was group effort, not a I'm the leader of you. Taker glared at Fish when he wasn't looking and finally finished his meal. 'Fine, be the leader. see what I care.' Taker thought carrying his tray over to the trash. 'I guess it's not so bad, at least I can say I was just following orders when he gets busted...'
