I read PostSecret ( www.PostSecret.com) every Sunday to see what people send in. It's an art project where people from all over the world mail their secrets on a post card to one guy who complies them and shows them anonymously to others. It sounds trippy but it is very cool. I read it because I like to see how many people have my exact same secret or have a secret that resonates with me.
Long story short (!!) there was a post up today by someone who shouted out Ender's Game. I'm going to post the link. Click on it and see for yourself!
I'm like whaaaaaat!! Especially since the backdrop is four OSC novels.
It reads "I Discovered God's Grace By Reading Science Fiction"
That's totally me! Except instead of "God's Grace" I would say "Sense of Self" but whatever it's close enough. Ender's Game, as a kid, got me through middle school. He was a genius who was picked on by everybody and yet he was the one who ultimately learned how to win. I really identified with that as a kid.
So anyway, dropped in to freak out a little and just share post secret and whatnot.

I'm kind of sad no one else popped up and said something on this because it's so true. Ender was a huge part of my childhood and he helped me through a lot. I'm still mad that my brother lost the copy of EG that went through my entire family. I can't say I anything as deep as religion based inspirations maybe, but the kid was my heart and this is so cool.
