I remember reading an essay on grammar by OSC a while ago, I'm fairly certain it was in the archives when I read it. The point of the essay was that many modern authors don't know basic grammar, and thus don't know how to break the rules of grammar. He used an example of the differences between "back yard" and "backyard." Does anyone know where this is? I've already checked the writing class, and looked at most of the Reviews that seemed relevant, but I still can't find it. I know I read it on this site, so it has to be here somewhere. Thanks!
