In another thread, Theca asked a valid question: If we have a Con in the summer, as the plans are, would we be allowed to call it HatrackCon? Or do we need another name?

I don't know if this will help, but I have called my get together of the Ornery people for the past two years OrneryCon. I have even invited the Cards. As long as it is just a get together, and not a money making proposition, I would guess that the Cards would not have a serious problem with the name. But that is just my 2 cents.

We were fine with OrneryCon because that is a website that is not the official Orson Scott Card website. But anything named Hatrack is assosicated strongly with us and we are not going to authorize anything called Hatrack that we don't control. If we do, then we lose control [Smile]

So, we are thrilled you are having a get-together. But we do ask that you leave the Hatrack name for things that are actually organized by us. THANKS, Kristine
