OSC, I was wondering if you might share a bit more information regarding the musical FEED THE BABY OF LOVE that you are producing next year in LA. I read at the B&N Univ. forum that you were producing this. It sparked my interest because as well as being a fan of your writing I am a professional actor and any new musical theatre producition in the country is going to catch my attention. Im not really sure what my specific quesitons regarding the show are, but I guess I would be interested in hearing what the show is about, what style the music is written in, as well as what style the show is written in. Also, I was wondering why you would choose to mount a production in LA as opposed to NY (As Ny seems to be the town more driven to create new MT productions) ... is this a show that you see heading to broadway or off broadway in the future? Have you workshoped this show anywhere in the past, and are you planning on workshopping it before mounting a full production?

I must assume the musical is at least in part based on his short story, "Feed the Baby of Love," which can be found in The Bradbury Chronicles, a collection ofshort fiction edited by Nolan and Greenberg. The blurb from that:

FTBOL is one of my favorite OSC stories. In my fantasy, Scott and Kristine come over to our house to eat dinner and play Feed the Baby of Love Many Beans or Perish in the Flames of Hell. We have a marvelous time, and Scott and Kristine find us witty and enjoyable.

The musical is based partly on the story and partly on Aaron Johnston's screen adaptation of the story - he came up with new elements that I very much like.
Robert Stoddard will be composing the music, and we will START to work on actually writing it this summer.

We also plan to release the story as a small book. My only completely mainstream, no fantasy at all, book.
