What with OSC teaming up with EGenesis to make ToAM, i wondered if OSC has spent, or spends, any time playing EGeneis' "A Tale In The Desert" - escpecially given his recent article over @ Orney American about the benefits of playing social / problemsolving games..

I doubt he has the time or patience for a game like that. He needs games that engage his attention, and ATITD is much more of a long-term-rewards sort of experience.

Plus it takes a level of commitment that a busy writer/speaker/teacher/director could hardly put into it to make it rewarding.

Actually, aTitD looks great, and if I had time, I probably would play it. But to be worthwhile at all, it has to be played rather steadily over a long period of time. I don't have the hours to commit to such a project, so I've had to pass it by ...

Mr Card, I repeat. Come to Israel. Even if just to visit the holy land, as a family vacation or whatever.

I do this at every opportunity.

Well, if you have even a spare hour, pop in and i'd be honoured to show you around! Sure I could introduce you to little bits and pieces that wouldn't be affected by limited time commitments, hehe.

Besides, if you're going to be dabbling in ToAM, you should get some experience of how the basic structure of the engine works, and meet our Events Team [Smile]
