In The Memory of Earth, Nafai ponders the Oversoul's powers and wonders why the Oversoul doesn't force humanity to be good. It made me think of Satan's plan to remove agency. I wanted to look up the passage but can't remember where it was in the book. I listened to it on audiobook, so a chapter number or a reference to where it was in the storyline would be very helpful.
