Hi again! I feel like I've been gone aaaagggees.... what's it been, a few weeks? [Big Grin]

I'm back because I found a new job! And I think I'll have enough down time during the day to do a little Hatracking at the office. Still nothing at home, though, which is fine. The job has a neat title, Media Assistant, but is half manual labor and half tech stuff. Nothing really fancy, but I'm looking forward to it. Good coworkers, I think.

I've missed everyone here! What's been going on? Anything dramatic I should go look up in the past? Any threads about how much you all missed me? [Big Grin]

I'm absolutely appalled by the new emoticons. How did you guys let this happen? Who can I flog?

Heya, Poly. [Smile]

Promptly go read my MST3k parody of a Jack Chick Tract in Thor's "Mellow something something" thread.

And while some of the smilies are rage-inducing (sorry, guys, that group hug thingy needs to be kicked in the shins, a lot) you take the good with the bad.

[Grumble] and [No No] are far too cute to argue with.

edit: Twinky, now look what you've done.

I missed you! All of the recent hot stuff is still pretty hot. Things were rather slow last week but have been flying thick and furious this week. OSC is releasing part of Crystal City on the site but if you read the main page you already know that.

Oh yes and we have new smilies and a landmark archive thread!
[Party]

love ya!

If we could get an emoticon of me flogging the group hug smiley, I'd be okay. Sounds like a new project! [Big Grin]

I'll go look for the something something thread.

Hi, Ayelar. Good to see you posting again.
Pat left, I don't know why, and also Pixie is leaving.
Kayla's son broke his arm but seems to be recovering.
Some threads I had bookmarked:
Funny:The DM says "OK, now you're a satanist" This is where the Jack Chick parodies started. The mallows: a Jerk Chicky production parodies Ralphie mentioned. Thor's and Jacare's are hysterical, haven't read Ralphie's yet.
Dan Raven's Indian oddyssy
The shizzolator; or an English-to-rap web page translator
Science: The physiology of sorrow
Some questions about molecules The elegant universe
politics: Another reason bush disapoints me Israel needs to get a grip new rape law
States rights are cool, but what about justice? about the recent supreme court sodomy decision
Nato, lol.

Hi, Ayelar. Congratulations! GOod to see you back. [Smile]

[Hail] [Hail] [Hail] [Hail] [Hail] [Hail] Ralphie

I love that one, Ralphie. And the group hug is easier to take when you realize that they are really hugging themselves, not each other. (Look at the very middle of the bottom part -- there's a clear space between them: [Group Hug] . So it's really more like some surly post-apocalyptic anti-heroes huddled around a burning bin of radioactive trash. Yeah.)

CT - The post nuclear smilies! Now I waaaay dig it. I like to think of Hatrack as a bunch of post-nuclear bums just trying to get a little warmth off a barrel of debris.

Nato - My brother, that was great.
