We saw Bob at the Pines Theater in Northampton last night, for a whole lot of money. Argh. It was crummy. I love Bob Dylan, and always will, but he is just horrendous live. Steve and I have vowed never to pay to see him again.

HOWEVER, The Waifs, a folksie band from Australia, were amazing! I have heard them on the radio, but they are better live, and fun, and for the guys out there, the two women are about the sexiest two women I have ever seen.

Or was it Annie? Oh, drat, who hates Bob Dylan, Mack or Annie??

That would be me.

*adds a tally mark to "converted" list*

Dang it, sorry, Annie. Remember, I am only a convert in the live music category of your Church of Bob Dylan Sucks.

Nobody has ever said that Bob Dylan was a singer/performer. Not even Bob Dylan fans. Not even Bob Dylan.

But he writes some pretty groovy tunes that other people perform well.

Exactly, Ralphie. Also, he used to perform them well. Now, he makes everything into a cookie cutter rockabilly beat. I keep getting sucked in, thinking a special venue might entice him to break out the acoustic guitar and just sing or croak us a song. It ain't gonna happen.

My husband works at the best(really) restaurant in Northampton, and a lot of famous people go in there.(to them it is probably like McDonald's) Anyway, the sound man for Bob Dylan came in and talked to him for an hour. He said he is a rather sad sack who just lives in a bus. He says he does not forget lyrics, EVER. He just gets sick of singing them, so he mumbles. My husband got some insight, maybe a teeny bit, into Bob's life. It is a sad one.

It was worth the money to see the man. That is the truth. He sucked, and that is also the truth.

Elizabeth, what restaurant does your husband work at? An acquaintence from there wants me to ask you.

Which would explain MY confusion, Liz. [Wink]

To tell the truth, I am quite flattered to be confused with Mack. It means I have successfully entered the Sassy Camp.

Hey, I said I hated Bob Dylan before Annie ever wrote the infamous thread. [Razz]

Well, Annie and Mack, since I can't figure out how to change the title of the thread, even though I changed it from Annie to Mack, it is good that you are enjoying the Mack-Annie confusion.

AK, he works at the Del Raye.
