Yay, code!

Ok, I'm guessing keyboard based, and it at least moves left-right (viceversa) somehow, how else do you get the ] or the '?

I'm also guessing rotating code. In otherwords

a does not always = b sort of thing.

I was wondering what that title meant...

Posted by Pat (Member # 879) on :

Ya, I should probably edit that title, huh?

I just lifted it from the Letterman website.

::smacks Pat upside the head::

Dude, mind your own code. You have glitches.

quote:
Eventually, the bear made its way into the bedroom and lied down to take a nap.
It's "lay" folks.

Here's the rule again:

The intransitive verb (no object) is "lie".

I'm going to lie out in the sun today.
I think I will go lie down and take a nap.
Here dead lie we because we did not choose to live and shame the land from which we sprung.
The book is lying on the bed.

The transitive verb (with an object) is "lay".

Lay your body down.
Lay your hands on the table in plain view.
I will lay all my cards on the table.
Please lay the book on the bed.

The confusing part is that the PAST TENSE of "lie" is "lay".

As I lay dying... (sometime in the past)
Early this morning the clouds lay across the landscape like a blanket.
The bear went into the bedroom and lay down to take a nap.

I only bring this to your attention because I don't want my fellow jatraqueros to sound ignorant and provincial when they go out into the world at large. And because my mom always did it to me. <laughs>
