Finally, it's snowing on our dry little valley!

hooray!

*dons fleece vest, does a snow dance*

The wind is blowing at about 50mph. It's knocking over potted trees.

I saw, but was not very near, a widowmaker happening today on the trail!

Well, that's what I get for living in a place called Windy Flats!

The best is when the wind is blowing so hard you canhear the snow hit the ground

Snow? What's that?

Oh, yeah. That slushy stuff we get a couple of inches of in January.

*dons kite, does a little take off dance*

Je deteste l'hiver. C'est si froid et gris. Mais si le neige tu plait, je serai heureux pour toi.

Grrr. Now I have to take off my little knit hat while I walk home.

It's in the region of twenty degrees here! What's going on!? Where are our crisp frosty mornings?

Posted by TomDavidson (Member # 124) on :

It was eighty degrees here in Wisconsin today. [Smile]

We had rain here in Tucson yesterday. Isn't that kind of similar to snow? [Dont Know]

It was warmer in Wisconsin than it was in Fresno? (Up to 74 degrees so far today.) Cool deal. I'm ready for winter, and it was still 90 degrees two or three days ago.

How exactly do you translate Farenheit degrees in Celcius degrees ? (Here it's about 10° Celcius, and I don't know how many it makes in Farenheit...) [Confused]

Posted by Jon Boy (Member # 4284) on :

Take the degrees in Celsius, times it by 9/5, and add 32.

Then you smack the US for using a stupid, archaic system.

Here's how I do it!

conversion

And then you shift blame to whoever came up with the stupid system in the first place.

Actually, for all that Farenheit is "archaic," it does a much better job of describing outside temperature than Celsius; there's simply not enough of a range of difference between 10 Celsius and 26 Celcius, as far as I'm concerned.
