I finished my longest and best short story last night, and I did the edits this morning. It's only 23,000 words, but it's got a beginning, middle, and end. *whew* It's not wonderful, but it's the best I've written by far, and that's good enough for me for now. (I've written some real clunkers in the past.)

No, I don't need anyone to read it, but thanks for the offer. I have one reader, and that's just about all I can handle at a time. Most importantly, it's finished. Now all I want to do is take a shower and start outlining another story on a completely different topic before I go to work.

The last story was very loosely based on this internet forum, now I'm going to write about a group of classical musicians.
