away from rent, utilities, and anything else that requires money.

So in October, after eight months of totally freeloading off a couple friends, I finally had the income to get my own place. But just barely. So when the gas company wanted $200 before they'd put the account in my name (I kinda didn't pay off my last account), I worked out a deal with my landlord. He kept it in his name, and I just paid the bill through him.

First of all, the current bill is $175. I sent $75 with the rent check. Secondly, the landlord no longer owns the property, so the $200 that was supposed to go to my car insurance went to the gas company.

Thursday morning, they came to read the meter to determine the final bill. It was the first actual reading in eight months. They underestimated--by a LOT.

The only way I'll be able to pay my landlord is if I actually get a tax return that more than covers what I still owe from last year. Too bad I'm still waiting on one of my W2s because it went to my old address and "sometimes they don't forward it." Funny, my other job did.

There's no real point in stressing. I can't do anything about anything until I have money in the bank. I'd love a vacation, but that takes money, too. *sigh*

I do have a 1977 Jag to get rid of that needs a little work. Any takers?

This has always been a fantasy of mine. I think its why I really like the movie The Beach, because that island made me drool every time the showed it. Warm sun, crystal clear water, white sand, no distractions except the beautiful girl you have with you and the simple pleasure of fishing for the day's food...

Oh, sorry, what were we talking about again?

XJ6C. It's poop brown--I mean, cinnamon. I don't know much else about it. We've been trying to figure out how to get it fixed up so as to get a decent price for it, but I learned how to be a slacker from my mom, so it continues to sit somewhere in PA.

If my island had plenty of cds, mp3s and batteries and maybe the net it would be perfect.
plus some babes. I'm sick of scrunching for small amounts of cash and no disposible income [Frown]

I finally have a good job, but I dug myself into such a deep hole, I'll be digging my way out for at least the next year, it looks like. But then, I'm only 25. If I still have these issues when I'm 60, like my mom does, then...I don't know what. I'm just trying to make sure it doesn't happen.

I am going to pass on the poop-brown 1970 whatever Jag, but I wish you well! I almost felt compelled to start a dobie on your thread titled:

Just give me a butt on a tropical island

but the superego of mine somehow supressed the id, and I felt your pain. Or something like that or at least completely different, but the same y'know?
