(I just want people to accidentally click on the wrong thread title. That's the whole purpose of a dobie. Right?)
Anyway, who knew that there was a pirate forum? We should board and take over on "Post Like a Pirate" day. They wouldn't even know what hit them.

How about Ninja Pirates, or Pirate ninjas?

The strap on my sundress broke today, so I pinned the dress to my bra (I'm wearing a cardigan over it) that says "I'll swashbuckle any landlubber me sees,ye scurvy dogs!!"
I would prefer it more if it said "scurvy curs," but I'm not sure that the mass comsumer market knows the meaning of the word.

(In response to Derrell's post)
[Dave Barry]Either of those would be a great name for a band. [/Dave Barry]
I personally like "Combat Alfalfa" as a band name.
Starla, you should say "curs" and watch people be even more confused.

Oh, jeez, here we go with the Ninja vs. Pirate thing---
Though the idea of a ninja pirate or vice versa, is very sexy.
I'm dating a guy who is a bit of a buddist, but loves Pirates of the Carribean, and would do well as a swashbuckler...
If I teach him Kung-fu, do you think he would count as a ninja-pirate?
Posted by Narnia (Member # 1071) on :
Definitely.

Ninjas would never be something as girly as a pirate. A 'pirate ninja' is like well written anime, or OSC complimenting liberals. It'll never happen. Sorry.

What I have written, I have written.

But, if you remember, in the movie The Princess Bride, the Dread-Pirate Roberts had a very ninja-esque quality about him--all black attire, masked, stealthy, resistant to poison and all around unstoppable.
Until the six-fingered dude came along.

*bump to ask*
When is post like a pirate day anyway? Isn't it about time for another one of those?
Posted by T_Smith (Member # 3734) on :
September 22, I believe.

Why?

I think it's a step in the right direction, Storm.
I hope that in the future, bra clasps, along with everything else, will be voice activated.
