What do you think? I'm just feeling angry because we got another $30 overdraft fee on a $5 transaction. I mean, this is really the kind of thing that gets me down. I know I should just try and have a better perspective on such things. It just feels like the proverbial last straw.

Well, the answer is obvious.

Get a gun and a mask.

Go read scriptures inside the bank. Out loud. Wearing a mask.

[ROFL] Thanks, guys, that actually helps.

P.S. I've actually got to go and help a child read at the elementary school now. We read a really interesting book about donkeys yesterday.

Reading up on the folks who charged you $30 for a $5 overdraft?

This stand-up Louis C. K. has a bit about that in his act. Something like...

When you actually have money, then the bank pays you interest. It's like they say, "Wow, look at all that money you have, we should probably give you some more then." And then on the other hand, when you overdraw, they say, "Oh look, you have no money. In that case, we'll have to take more money away from you." They give you negative money. If you have negative money, you can't even afford something that doesn't cost anything.

I don't remember it exactly, he's a funny guy though.

I don't know if I should admit this has happened, but I love when a credit card sends you a letter letting you know that because of your (okay, my) poor credit, they want to Raise the interest rate.

I'm like "why?"
and they say "folks in your situation have a higher rate of defaulting"
And this is supposed to help prevent that?

My situation apparently being using my credit cards to pay for medical bills...

Get a real bank- one that has overdraft protection.

Instead of robbing them with a gun, rob them of your business by getting an account at another bank. [Big Grin]
