I (belatedly) feel your pain. I love Pedro. However, his live shows, to be honest, aren't all that great. Still, I would be bummed not being able to go.

But all is not lost! The new album's coming out soon!

I went to a Pedro show back in October (or November. Not quite sure which). I really went to see Irving though.

That sounds like a really great show you missed. I'm thinking about trying to see Death Cab for Cutie in Portland next month, but I don't have the money, really. And it's on a night before I have an 8 AM class in Eugene. Otherwise, I'd be on top of that!
