I hereby invoke Godwin's Law.

[Wink]

While I don't believe in hell, I suspect that if it exists and he's there he may well be running the show. He may well be more evil than ole Lucifer.

He's over there, to you left. No, your other left. Yeah, behind that guy with the hat.

Good looking chap, all things considered.

my answer depends on to what extent Hitler was mentally ill. naww..he is in hell.

But seriously, what is the difference between mental illness and evil? A long time ago mental illness was thought to be devils. Now days we have serial killers who are evil. Is it an evil spirit, or is something not processing right in the brain? Instead of nature vs. nurture, in psychology I ask is it evil vs. nature or nurture?

If it is biological, would Christ's atonement cover Hitlers Crimes?

I thought that a piece of Hitler's skull was in one of Stalin's caches?

It was on the History Channel the other night, anyway. . .

I thought he lived in South America with Elvis. I saw that in the Weekly World News.

If there's a Hell, Hitler's almost certainly in it. *shrug* It's not for nothing that the man's name is still invoked as a symbol of rapacious, racist, institutionalized evil.

Aah, but what if the LDS church has baptized him posthumously?

Actually, Hitler was pretty incompetent, I think. Or else he grew to be pretty incompetent. Extremely effective demagogue, yes. Astounding extent of hatred and brutality and murder, yeah.

But Stalin killed more, he just did so less...dramatically? I don't mean at all to belittle either sets of victims when I say that. Just that Hitler did it through the 'innovation' of death-camps, whereas Stalin did it through more traditional, though extended, tyranny.

can the LDS do that? how the hell is that justified by scripture?

OK Ben, I expect a report on those 24 pages, your reaction to the motif, and perhaps a discussion piece about religious conflict in our time. I want it on my desk by midnight Thursday night.

i'm not reading those 24 pages.
somebody gimme a summary. at least answer how its justified...please...
as for that deadline? as history shows with me and deadlines, i'll get right on that...hold your breath. hehe

If you read the first two pages, I think you get most of the content. The rest is people saying "I said... blah blah blah..." that was already on the first two pages. Both sides get mean spirited at points.
