And maybe you have to be tough to become a female general in the Army but that broad looks just plain scary!

you said BROAD! That made my day.

Ha! Yeah -- we here at work saw her photo on some news story the other day and were talking about how scary she looks.

She reminded me of the principal "Miss Trunchbull" in the movie "Matilda"

I'm not sure if her fine head is rolling, or if its being hidden until the furor dies down.

Yeah Darth Mauve, I'm sure she could beat you up and eat you for lunch. [Smile] I bet she hates mauve.

As far as the suspension goes at least it is SOMETHING. Not much but something.

Darth,

they're not hiding her at all - in what is probably a nightmare for the administration, she's been essentially reverted to civilian status.

As a result, she's on even more news shows and talking to more reporters than before.

I've seen her on the talk shows - she is one cool and articulate person. Very smooth.

But I don't really believe all of her denials in regard to her knowledge of what was going on.

They said a "bad-conduct discharge"...
Why don't they just say "dishonorable discharge"? Are they two different things? Or is the word honor now too religious for political correctness? [Dont Know]

Google-man to the rescue: Enlisted Administrative Separations

quote:
Punitive Discharges. Punitive discharges are authorized punishments of courts-martial and can only be awarded as an approved court-martial sentence pursuant to a conviction for a violation of the UCMJ. There are two types of punitive discharges: Dishonorable Discharge (DD) -- which can only be adjudged by a general court-martial and is a separation under dishonorable conditions; and Bad-Conduct Discharge (BCD) -- which can be adjudged by either a general court-martial or a special court-martial and is a separation under conditions other than honorable.

Apparently, USNews&WorldReport has managed to obtain previously kept-secret documents which indicate that Karpinski was being truthful in her own defense. Or at least far far more truthful than anyone in this thread gave her credit for.

"that broad looks just plain scary"
"Yeah -- we...were talking about how scary she looks."
"I kept looking for the picture of the girl general

Frankly, I'd be very wary about serving under a general who made the effort to "look feminine" while on duty. Or with any female officer who presented a Cosmogirl mindset.
But then, I've always thought that dandies-on-duty are just martinets who specialize in killing their own troops.

I'd be more worried about a male general trying to look all Feminized, and spending too much time studying Cosmo.

More from recently declassified military investigation interviews of Karpinski.
