Worry some more.

This one, assuming it's true, does lend some credence to some of the other stories we've been hearing about widespread abuse. The medical reports seem pretty unambiguous.

Thanks for the link. The source seems reasonably reliable....

That is scary.

I'll start worrying about prisoner abuse when I become a prisoner.

Are you planning to commit some crime that you will be incarcerated for?

Haven't we already discussed this? In any case, what's not surprising is the military's response.

quote:
Sean Baker claimed he received a traumatic brain injury that required him to be discharged from the military; a military spokeswoman disputed aspects of his accounts, saying he was discharged for an unrelated medical reason
That was on June 3rd.

quote:
In April, the Army said Baker's discharge was unrelated to injuries from the beating. Baker, 37, has since returned home to Georgetown.

His lawyer said Baker suffers from seizures, and is still waiting for his first disability check from the government, WLKY reported.

That was on June 8th, but is quoting an April story. Amazingly, it was September of last year the Physical Evaluation Board of the Army discharged him, saying “The TBI [traumatic brain injury] was due to soldier playing role of detainee who was noncooperative and was being extracted from detention cell in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, during a training exercise.”

Now, however, the military is saying that while it was a contributing factor, it wasn't the only factor in his discharge. But, of course, they can't discuss his medical records unless he releases them.

And, of course, they can't seem to locate the tape that was made of the "training" exercise, or agree that one was even made.

Is anyone really shocked that the military isn't taking responsibility for it's actions?

I wish I was shocked.

But I expect it.

That's really sad.

Yes, Kayla, I am. Absolutely shocked.

Forgive me if I didn't see or comment on this earlier.

Don't worry...they're only taking away the Jews.
