Yesterday I'm talking about cherry pie filling with my baby sister, how my in-laws like to eat it a lot but always complain about all the additives and crushed tse tse flies that go into it. My sister (a) gets an odd look on her face and babbles something about a show where bees suck people's blood and make it into honey.

She asks my next to youngest sister what the show was, and tries unsuccessfully to describe it until she says the phrase "blood honey" and then a wave of recognition splashes over sister (b) and she can remember the episode but doesn't know the name of the show.

Enter little brother (a). He is on the vibe right away but can only contribute that the show was kind of like the X-files, but couldn't maintain a mythic consistency. And it was before the X-files. Late 80's, apparently. And he came up with a descriptor, "Tabloid weird" for the content of the show.

We think we can rely on little brother (b) since he has the higest SAT score. But it escapes him as well. There is one other sibling I have to consult by email. But I thought I'd throw it out to Hatrack.

If it turns out to be tales from the crypt, I'm going to be very disappointed. But it seemed to have a central theme of a group going around seeking demonic objects. I can't believe I never heard of it. Apart from the fact that it was so traumatic, all my younger siblings have repressed.

I also read the top 25 list of cult shows in an old TV guide the other day. If it was on that list and I couldn't put the pieces together, I'll be sad. Or if it's one of the shows ya'll go on about.

I already asked them if it was Dark Skies or Freaky Links. I know those both came after X files, but it was a shot. Okay, I'm going to AV blood honey now.

Telp, you are the queen of freaky! [Wave] (high five)

Cay beat me to the link.

And, I am humbled to admit, it was on Google's front page (if I had the correct form blood-honey) whereas I didn't see it in 5 pages of altavista.

edit: but I didn't know the phrase blood-honey until I'd already found th episode through TV tome. For my original phrase of blood honey, Google also didn't find it. [Razz]

Friday the 13th: the Series was actually a pretty good show. Or at least it had some decent episodes. Wasn't it from the early(ish) days of Fox?

Naturally, it was on the not-so-short list of shows that my dad wouldn't let us watch, but that we watched anyway.
