So a couple weeks after I get cox cable modem, they send me a really nice coupon offer in the mail.
If you order cox cable by June 30th, they'll only charge $20/mo ($19.95) for the rest of 2004. And give you a free cable modem, free "self installation package."
So... if you were thinking about it... Code: 80013 should work for any cox-ready areas (the fine print doesn't say it's limited to my neighborhood).

It does go up to around $50/month after the first year though. (Oh wait, we have Comcast now.) We had Cox before and yeah it wasn't as expensive and the service was generally good.

I'm paying $86/mo for Cox...just the Internet. Nevermind the cable.

I think Cox is cheaper in certian areas of the country. Like in Norman, Oklahoma there were loads of students and I think they got some sort of deal to help support the infrastructure. If I recall correctly we were paying around $50/month for both cable and cable modem.

I got free cable from Cox when I lived in the dorm....
Not anymore. New Orleans is expensive, especially on St. Charles.
