I went to check out Homeland Security to see about possibly reporting something strange I witnessed. (There is another thread on that).

I assumed there would be a place on the departments web site to report information involving homeland security.

There isn't.

Actually, there are two web-sites I found. First on Google, Listed as Homeland Security Homepage . It is basically a Presidential Advertisement for all the wonderful work President Bush is doing to promote our secure homeland.

The second is HSL's actual web site . This is also not quite what I expected or wanted from Homeland Security's information center.

BUt then, I am not sure what I expected, or what we should have.

What are your takes?

Let's not forget the "Ready" site:

http://www.ready.gov/

Which tells you how to duck 'n' cover.

There's also "FEMA for KIDS!" It would be a great website, but there are all these kids hangout there in the parking lot, drinking Budweiser and smoking those funny cigarettes...

Well, the reporting seems to be state-to-state -- in other words, you report it to the Homeland Security agency in your state... such as This One

It's a pity Bush didn't have the sense of humour, or perhaps history, to name them the "Committee for Public Safety." Much classier.

He should have, so we could all snicker.
