Did anyone hear his speech at the DNC?

It was so brilliant. He may not be a serious polititian, but he can give a hell of a speech.

He could definitely give Kerry some speech delivery tips. Either that or get a convincing makeover and do Kerry's speeches for him.

Hee hee.

I love Sharpton for the fact that he'll say it as he sees how it is, not what politics says he should say. There's a nice honesty there...albiet a bit crass. He was a really good speaker though, most definantly gets into what he says and puts emotion in it.

I guess I didn't really like Al Sharpon's speech. It might be that he's waaaay left of me in a lot of ways. I also have little real interest in the things he brought up (so much so that I can't really remember what they were).

For all the good and bad about his speech, it showed his humanity, it showed a deep respect for the democratic party, and mostly, it took us through his battle between principles and bribes. It was more than honest, some parts were even true.

It was a good speech, better than most of the other ones. The space between his words and his integrity, that noble quality, was slimmer than most of the speeches last week.

I have a slightly more jaded view of the good Sharpton - and none of it flattering.

That being said, he can certainly carry a crowd. It's a good skill for conmen, televangelists and politicians.

I'd have to say that I don't particularly care for some of his politics.

Still, his speech was most definitely one of the best at the Convention (although I've heard that Kerry's wasn't as bad as his usually are).

He at least seemed to believe what he was saying, and what he was saying was strong and with good intentions.
