Today I had the 24 hour headache. It was horrible and I felt nauseated, but I still need money so I went to work.
I was bagging then I started having trouble breathing and a slight cold sweat. I had to sit down and kept gasping for air a bit.
This is probably the 3rd time something like this has happened.

Were you trembling or shaking as well?

No... just having a lot of trouble breathing and I almost got that weird lacy thing in front of my eyes.

Why do you think that it's a panic attack? Has this kind of thing been diagnosed as a panic attack in the past or something? I really don't know much about panic attacks, but your symptoms sound like something that it would be worth having a doctor check out.

I know symptoms vary with panic attacks... in my case I mostly get a feeling like my heart's speeding up and that I could have a heart attack; sometimes my breathing will be erratic, too.

Assuming it is a panic attack... avoiding caffeine is good to do... exercising to relieve tension is also good...

I don't know what it was. Could have been asthma.
I had it once back in 2001 when I nearly passed out on the job. I heard a roaring in the ears, there was a lacy pattern in front of my eyes and I could hardly breathe. Plus I was very dizzy. They forced me to go to the emergency room and it was just a cold, but someone at the job said something about a panic attack.
I had a second incident at a Gwar concert. I kept almost passing out, then I had to sit down before the dizziness stopped.
Now this. Perhaps it's not so bad... I walked home ok.

The "lacy" phenomenon you describe sounds familiar to me. As though too little (or too much?) blood/oxygen to the brain.

I have asthma, although it's been years since I've had an attack of any severity. Nausea and sweating, in my experience, are not symptoms of as asthma attack. However, I have found that when I'm sick with something else, I'm more susceptible to asthma. It could be that you've got multiple things going on.

When you say that it was difficult to breathe, can you describe it? Were you wheezing, or did it just feel as though you couldn't get enough air? Was is worse when you were lying down, or standing up (if you know)?

Possibly a form of migraine? Not all migraines "hurt" - and wierd visual effects can be part of them . . . I used to get these flags (multi-colored like a rainbow or looking through a prism) that would start in the corner of my left eye and then gradually cut off all the vision. They eventually stopped, and the doctor said some migraines are like that -
