I haven't really formed any thoughts on this yet. I just read it. It seemed like it would be a good story to post though.

Talked to my husband. The two planes that went down in Russia were bombed by terrorists, apparently. Both bombs went off in the bathrooms in back of the planes.

Then there was the car bombing.

Russian intellegence apparently already knew of a terrorist threat. They knew there were five planned events. They've been scouring the country for the other two.

I guess the next one happened.

Sigh.

This might be different though. I think the Russians have been looking for two other individuals, not groups.

Apparently today they have released a small portion of the hostages:

School Gunmen Free Hostages But Prove Their Firepower

However, there are conflicting reports now on just how many hostages there are -- whether it is 350 or up to 800.

I hope not too many more get hurt.

School Siege Ends in Bloody Assault

The Russian special operations forces rushed the building. Reports are conflicted, but there have been confirmed casualties. No accurate reports thus far on the suspected 13 terrorists.

After the Columbine shooting, we had the kids outside for a fire drill. I started to have these violent images coming through my head of someone taking shots at them. I remember being kind of paranoid about it for a while.

Aside from my own children being hurt, this is my ultimate fear. Maybe not even aside from.

You know, I don't care what a group or individual thinks a government has done to them, they need to get one thing straight...children are not fair game, not legitimate targets, not ever.

This just makes me so angry that I cannot discuss it rationally.
