"The lemon, which from the drawing looks female, is obviously enjoying it with the greatest of pleasure."

Spokesman Marco Alfter said: "The new wrapping is certainly fruitier than the old. But we have not had any other complaints.

Oh my. And those cherries, what in the name of Pete are they doing??

Posted by Sara Sasse (Member # 6804) on :

Uh, whatever it is, they're sure liking it. [Eek!]

Ok, here are a couple of questions. What is the green guy? Is he a he? What, in fact, ARE the genders of the fruits?

Well, Speed, you must go nutsover all the smilies on this message board. Do you prefer a rolling yellow head, or an annoying grinning one?

Geez, now that I see them in this light, I think the yellow smilies are ALL a bunch of floozies. I am surprised the Cards allow them here.

It's not as bad as the obviously phallic-shaped container for Powerade sports drinks.

Well, that IS what they seem to be doing. [Eek!]

Hmmm, my first thought was that seeing as how they are fruits they must, by definition, be male.

Posted by miles_per_hour (Member # 6451) on :

Well, fruits, by definition, are ovaries, IIRC, and therefore female.

Too many commas!!!!

Posted by Elizabeth (Member # 5218) on :

The two cherries are female. Not sure about the lemon. The green dude is one kinky cartoon character.

That's hilarious. I'm blogging that.

Posted by TMedina (Member # 6649) on :

Well, being a fruit has a certain appeal.

What I can't find is whether or not the wrappers themselves are real...

Those wrappers make me want to don a habit. I've lost several points of virtue just by looking at them again.

Posted by Elizabeth (Member # 5218) on :

A bad habit, Sara?

Posted by Sara Sasse (Member # 6804) on :

A minimalist habit. Black and white, the classy colours for the chic chick.

Although fruti candies ... nah, not to go there. Stick with the habit of virtue. *grin

This puts a whole new face on the phrase "be fruitful and multiply."

And let me just say, you do NOT want to see the banana candies.

Posted by Bob_Scopatz (Member # 1227) on :

Very unappealing.

Posted by Sara Sasse (Member # 6804) on :

(I cannot make this joke on Hatrack.)

suckers!

Is there any way to stem the tide of fruit proliferation. I think it is quite unbecoming, seedy at best.

Posted by Sara Sasse (Member # 6804) on :

More along the lollipop line.

Posted by punwit (Member # 6388) on :

Can you imagine the fun we would have had with the old M&M's campaign?

Posted by Elizabeth (Member # 5218) on :

The frightening thing for me is that I am oddly attracted to the green guy.

Did I actually WRITE that?

It was the Yellowtail Shiraz talking. Darned grapes.

Posted by pooka (Member # 5003) on :

Huh. I'm surprised no one has mentioned Kama's Haribo/anatomy problem.

Posted by Elizabeth (Member # 5218) on :

Pooka, I have been biting my tongue on that one. It was the first thing that crossed my mind, though, and I will say nothing more than that.

Posted by TMedina (Member # 6649) on :

You people are just...wrong.

Posted by Elizabeth (Member # 5218) on :

Trevor, you are so right about that.

Posted by Sara Sasse (Member # 6804) on :

Man, I knew I'd seen "Haribo" somewhere recently.

They do say the biggest sex organ is in the head. (I didn't know it was Kama's nose, but hey, it's a cute one.)

Edit: Deleted for good taste. So to speak.

Bah, that wasn't as smoothie as you might like. [Big Grin]
