Yup, just did. Election day over here (mayor, city legislators). I'm well. It was most painless. Unfortunatelly, the experience didn't last long, so I couldn't enjoy it as much as I would. A few seconds and it was over.
None of the candidates had much appeal. But what can I do? Voting is mandatory here, and casting a blank or void vote is against my nature.
I hope your voting in the upcoming American Election go as smoothly as this. Since you choose if you vote or not over there, I ask you to do it. It's your right. Your forefathers fought for it.

The elections are coming up in Romania too, but the latest news is not good: the presidential candidate of the major opposition coalition is apparently withdrawing from the race due to health problems. He will probably be replaced with the leader of the other party in the coalition, but this other guy doesn't really have the same appeal to people as the first one. And the polls show that the numbers are really close, I fear this might spoil everything... Sad, very sad... "Who do I vote with?!" <-- from an old & famous Romanian theater play; a case of history repeating itself...
