EEOC sent me the paperwork on where my case is going.
They want documention from me about my medical condition (that it does indeed exist).
They also asked if I want to participate in mediation.
*scratches head*
Yeah, I called and asked what that'd do considering I no longer work for my ex work. What would we be mediating? That, and appparently I'd need a lawyer for mediation and it's all confidential.
*shrug*
At least it's moving forward. Waiting to hear back from EEOC about my questions.
But moving forward is good.

That's kind of weird, especially the lawyer part - I thought the whole point of mediation was to avoid getting lawyers involved....

Oh, no. Mediation is an attempt to avoid court, not the lawyers. You risk serious damage to a potential court case if mediation fails and you didn't have a lawyer with you.

Well, the paperwork said that both sides could show up with themselves and a lawyer if they wanted.
