Well, I finally did research and figured out who I want to vote for, and I came to work early so I could get off early to go and vote.

But...I don't know where to go. Can I go anywhere in Dallas, or do I need to go to a specfic location? There simply must be a web site out there that would know.

You didn't get a sample ballot that says?

If nothing else, call your local library and ask them where you need to go.

My voter registration card says where I need to vote.

Here at least, there is one specific place that you are supposed to vote. I don't know what happens if you try to vote somewhere else.

Tyr this or this http://www.mypollingplace.com

Nope, no sample ballot.

I live in the ghetto. [Razz]

Added: Thank you. [Smile]

Added2: The line was busy due to high volume. It said to call back later, but I can't picture the volume going down. Is there another way?

For reasons I would rather not go into, I can't talk to the library.

Try those sites...
It told me where and when I'd have to vote.

mypollingplace.com (Syn's second site) asks for a street address and zip code, then spits out the polling site.

Voting in the wrong district or using a ballot for he wrong ward in your district can be problematic for getting that vote counted. Worth the trouble to get it right, definitely.

League of Women Voters web site, or Dallas' municpal web site.

Voting in the wrong place will NOT count. You need to find the right place.

Email me, kat, and I'll help you out.

I think I found it (thank you Bok (did you know that you are a character in the musical Wicked? Every time I type your name the line Oh Boq, I think you're wonderful. goes through my head.) )

The polling place site listed a church on a street near me, and the polls close at seven. I think that means I have to go home after work, which means no Gilmore Girls tonight because Catherine and her television live in the opposite direction.

And thus I sacrifice for my country.
