Did someone just screw with the colors of the Forum links -- or is it just me?

Posted by Lucky4 (Member # 1420) on :

Not just you...

Posted by fugu13 (Member # 2859) on :

Yeah . . . I'm sorry, but pastel is not actually easy on the eyes when its coming out of a CRT tube. This is because pastel is a close relative of neon.

Holy synergy, FarmGirl! We both posted the same thing [Smile]

Pretty! [Big Grin]

I even hurried and switched over to IE to see if it was just my Firefox being weird.

Whoa!
BRIGHT!

Posted by Dagonee (Member # 5818) on :

Thank God. I thought either my eyes or my display was going.

Me no likee. Bleh.

Posted by Noemon (Member # 1115) on :

Gak! I wonder what the thinking behind that change was? Hope I get used to it.

Was that little Google search bar at the top there before?

Perhaps they felt we'd finally been sufficiently addicted to the site that they could at long last implement Part 2 of the "make everyone blind" plan. [Smile]

Just a suggestion.

Admins -- please please change it back. This is really hard on my 40-year-old+ eyes....

FG

They should consider some more earthy tones. Those go over well on the web. Pastels (which become effectively neon on a monitor) do not.

Posted by Noemon (Member # 1115) on :

I just blew the whistle on your post, Farmgirl. Not to complain about it, of course, but to second the motion, so to speak.

Posted by Teshi (Member # 5024) on :

Gah my eyes!

*shields from glare*

It's hard on younger eyes too!

Posted by twinky (Member # 693) on :

O_O

>_<

That's the last straw. I'm leaving! *goes off to start long-winded, whiny, "I'm leaving, everyone hates me" thread*

[Wink]

Posted by fugu13 (Member # 2859) on :

twinky, twinky, twinky.

A color change like this doesn't mean everyone hates you. Most of us had nothing to do with it!

It just means the Cards hate you.

I'm glad it's not just my eyes.

Posted by Farmgirl (Member # 5567) on :

I don't mind the "active link" color (although it IS bright) as much as the "visited link" color -- it almost just totally fades into the background for me.

FG

Posted by Noemon (Member # 1115) on :

Really? See, I don't mine the "visited link" color, but the "active link" color makes my eyes bleed.

*quickly clicks on all nasty blue things*

Posted by Teshi (Member # 5024) on :

Perhaps it's a psycological experiment to see how different colours change our interactions.

[Dont Know]

Honestly, this is hard on my eyes, it's going to be hard to be on for a long time.

Posted by Noemon (Member # 1115) on :

Time to explore sakeriver, Teshi.

Posted by mr_porteiro_head (Member # 4644) on :

I agree -- I hope they change it back.

Posted by signal (Member # 6828) on :

wow I can return my monitor to its original setting now. I had it turned way down because of the brightness.

Thanks Kathryn!

Just a little error. Should be fixed now.

Yay! [Hail]

Now she knows what to do on April 1st.

I don't get the credit! It was either KACard or our webmaster, Scott Allen, who deserve your adulation.

KHK

Posted by mackillian (Member # 586) on :

We can give you adulation for OTHER things, you know. [Smile]

For instance, jebus's drunk posting incident where you had to clean up numerous posts in a row. The increasing editing messages from you were getting awfully funny but getting the point across at the same time. [Big Grin]

Posted by BannaOj (Member # 3206) on :

*grin* Sorry Kathryn. Thanks kacard and Paul. We love all three of you!

AJ

(how I can read one thing and type something entirely different escapes me on occasion.. sorry I have no idea how I morphed Scott Allen into Paul.)

Ooh! I think I missed that! I saw the posts in question, I think, but it was before they'd been edited. Hm. Now I have to go back and find them again.

Posted by rivka (Member # 4859) on :

*helpful* It was the tie thread.

Posted by Icarus (Member # 3162) on :

[Frown]

I missed it, but now I notice that he doesn't seem to have any newer posts than those deleted ones.

DID he get booted?

(Aside from being drunk or whatever, is it possible someone got ahold of his SN? I didn't see the posts, so maybe this is not possible because of their content, but I'm just curious.)

Posted by rivka (Member # 4859) on :

Jebus' posting pattern is always erratic, neh? I'd bet he's either embarrassed or sleeping it off.

Give it a few days.

Posted by Noemon (Member # 1115) on :

Thanks rivka!
