My adopted internet son Sasha told me he is going to commit suicide today. I've known him for 2 years and this seems like a real and serious thing to me. Yet he's never given me enough information to allow me to locate him or contact him in real life. I'm very worried but don't know anything more I can do besides fast and pray. If any of you would like to add your prayers I would appreciate it greatly.

I met him here when he posted 2 years ago one day but he's never posted again since that day, that I know of.

I take it you have been in contact with him somehow recently. Maybe you could give the authorities whatever contact information you have and let them see what they can do--backtrack phone number, email, whatever.

Oh dear... I really hope nothing happens to him. Believe me, I've been through the hell of losing a child to whom I'm close. I'm still going through it. Please, AK... if he doesn't commit suicide, make him go to counseling or something, find out what's wrong... this is something that you can't fix later. [Frown]

AOL can backtrack AIM usernames, it's been done at least once before that I've heard of.

I just got down worrying about an Internet friend who we hadn't heard from in six weeks. Last we heard, she had been in a car accident, and we were all worried that she'd had a terrible relapse or something. Luckily, she had given us enough info that we were able to track her down and call her. She's okay. [Big Grin]

There were complications from the accident, but she's alright and should be back online in a week or so. [Smile]

I hope you hear good news. Do you know any of his other online friends? It was really when all of the various people who knew my friend got together and compared info that we were finally able to find her. It's worth a try, as there is so much info available on the Internet these days for free that you might be able to find something. *hugs for you, and prayers for him*

Thanks so much for your prayers, everyone. I talked to him this morning so he's still alive as of now but I'm still very worried. He's had a lot of symptoms lately with increasing frequency and severity.

Thank you so much, everyone. He made it through one more day.... hopefully through the latest crisis. Your prayers are much appreciated. We're taking it day by day, and are in it for the long haul.
