I just got it. I dinked around and make a blaster (with a gun) mutant.

I am not sure if that is a good combo because I have not had enough time to realy read up on characters.

Any advice?

All I know is I want a gun.

EDIT
what does being a mutant do for you?

Your "Origin" decides what sorts of villians your first missions will be against, as well as what sort of dual origin/single origin enhancements you can use.

I still have an account, but it's sitting there until WoW is out of my system.

As a mutant blaster with gun-based powers, somehow your hero has mutated into a being able to, um, use guns. Perhaps you manifest gun-like weapons as part of a nasty skin condition. Or perhaps your mutation merely makes you kind of chalky and unpleasant to be around, and your skill with guns is a product of a bad childhood.

I thought being a mutant would give you special powers like jumping or hiding. Does being mutant do anything skill-wise for your character? If not, I have to remake a character. I was hoping that being mutant would give me one or two skills I could use in conjunction with my guns.

I could role play my charater as someone who always had a facination with guns and used his minor mutant powers to aquire guns or get into situations that were optimal for gun use.

In life, I hate guns, but I always liked the super heroes (like batman and dare devil) who were more focused on fine-tuning an everyday skill.

Your origin has absolutely no practical effect on your powers.

Your Origin makes for an excuse to have all the other powers you will be able to select later, such as transportation skills, super speed, that sort of thing.

On a pratical leevl it determines who your initial contacts are, adn what type of missions you get right off the bat. It also determines where you but upgrades in your Enhancments.

I don't play anymore due to the incompetince of the support for it, but I enjoyed the game itself a lot.

I used to play, I was a technology electrical blaster. ^_^ Man I looked spiffy. I may have a screen shot somewhere of me...

Yeah, I had fun.

Oh my I just happened to have one! Wow, I thought I was joking, cleaned out the area around me so you can see me in all my flying glory! (Besides, you would have seen the way to level up really quickly. ^_^)
