That's what that means? I was wondering...
Anyway...
17/M/OK/I hate it when people say "good" when they should say "well."

And prosciutto is a very specific sort of ham rather different from what most people mean when they say "ham" in reference to sandwich meat.
Posted by gnixing (Member # 768) on :
if you want to get specific, are you referring to prosciutto cotto or prosciutto crudo?
edit: spelling mishap and to add... both of which are very good.

means that the symbol Condiments can be/must be substituted for by possibly relish, possibly mustard, and possibly ketchup OR by mayonnaisse (that is, it can't be present with the others).
Basically, the [ ] mean an item is optional, ( ) are used to group things like in math (so we see what goes together, but it doesn't mean any operation is being performed), and | is a way of saying or.

One can go outside of your 'laws' and still eat.
Posted by fugu13 (Member # 2859) on :
Certainly, but its not a legal sandwich in my grammar. The syntax is wrong, which means it has flawed semantics
Posted by rivka (Member # 4859) on :
But how does that translate to not having relish on the same sandwich as relish? That doesn't even make SENSE?
Posted by fugu13 (Member # 2859) on :
Heh, oops. Meant to say you can't have mayonnaise on the same sandwich as relish.

I got an A in syntax and I didn't even recognize the forms. Thanks for the review, fugu.

I don't understand what is this thread, but it's fun. What terrible sandwitch !

I admit I don't fully understand your syntactical system, but here goes:
Shigosei = age sex location age = "19" sex = "female" location = "Oregon" | "Arizona"
Fugu, I'd like a turkey sandwich on wheat bread with mustard. And I'm afraid despite your parameters I'm going to have some illicit lettuce on it as well.
