Ok, we decide to see Coach Carter (her choice actually...though I sure wasn't complaining). We get to the theater and sit down. Just as the previews come on, the fire alarm goes off. Some employee runs in with a panicked look on her face and tells us to exit out the back. So we go out, and wait a while to see if they will let us back in anytime soon. The fire trucks come, and with think things will be settled soon since when the firemen get in, they just wander around, not looking all that worried (we could see them through the glass doors). They then announce that they will not be opening back up until 9:00 (it was 7:45 or so at the time). So we decide to go back to her place for a while and come back for the next showing at 9:45. So we hang out there for a while, and go back out a little after 9:00. We drive back out to the theater and they said they decided to close down for the night.

So, we decided that we would reschedule for tomorrow. I guess it didn't turn out all that bad, we got to spend a bunch of time together, and will see each other again tomorrow...but it was rather wacky.

Sounds perfect. Instead of the memory of having sat next to each other watching a bit of entertainment, you had an adventure.

A memorable time together, no?

I think it's high time you proposed.

Really, Bob. Tsk! I think all this "Thank Bob!" business has been going to your head.

You are NOT supposed to be remaking Hatrack in your image. [No No]

But did you ring any bells, or hear fireworks go off?

I thought fire alarms meant a good date.

though when you have to evacuate the building it sort of puts a damper on things.

Depends on where you go. [Smile]

Be good, you're married now.

[ROFL]

Edit: just to be clear, I'm laughing at the absurdity of my own statement (i.e., the notion that being married somehow correlates to being good in that sense, which is of course laughable)

I thought that meant I could be bad!

Posted by twinky (Member # 693) on :

Indeed. That's why I couldn't say it without laughing. [Big Grin]

*suppresses comment regarding swords*

Using those swords would just ruin all the fun for everyone.

Posted by rivka (Member # 4859) on :

Certainly, those swords.
