I just went to a concert with a group of people I go to church with. What bothered me is that I realized I was more depressed doing something with a group of people than I was last weekend, when all I did was sit in my room and basically stare at the walls. Does anyone else have this problem? Am I correct in assuming that this is a really really bad thing?

Depends. What band was it? Cause any crappy band can make staying at home seem like a weekend trip to Six Flags.

Anyway, it might be bad, it might be normal. Myeh. I dunno. Staying at home stinks, but occassionally, I get down even when I'm out doing things I like doing.

Ture, the music did kinda suck IMO. It was an ensemble of student bands that we have here every semester. And maybe it's the fact that I don't listen to the radio anymore, or that my taste in music is...old fashioned, but I didn't here a band I liked. I decided to leave at the point when the Acapella band started singing Semi-Charmed Life. I have a hard time listening to music that is about drug abuse when I'm at a church sponsored school event, I suppose.

To High School, actually. Yeah yeah, I know, like, only 2 years ago, but still.... crappy bands galore.

This year groups larger then 7 have been bothering me. I think it happens sometimes. If you are usually depressed that is a problem, but somepeople just don't like groups. Try a smaller group and see how that goes.

At least your favorite music isn't by guys who have been dead for 150+ years.

Two bands have come out of my highschool so far. Both are very good, so in highschool I was treated to great music.
