We’re registered at Bed, Bath & Beyond, and Target. (Also at a couple of local places, but they don’t have computerized registries so you’d have to actually walk in and check the notebook).
I wanted to register at the Mt. Horeb Mustard Museum gift shop, but so far no go.

Dana and Bob.
They are registered at Target and Bed Bath and Beyond, and I think Cooks of Crocus Hill here in St Paul. I know something they really wanted to be able to register for was cooking classes at Cooks, but that wasn't an option. The classes are on the pricy side, but if a bunch of people wanted to get together and get them a gift certificate for that, I'm sure it would be appreciated.

If you would like, Dana, I would be happy to pick you up any number of varieties from the Mt. Horeb Mustard Museum. Alternately, if you really want to register there, I'm sure the guy who owns the place -- who's there most days -- would take requests over the phone. I'm actually pretty sure that he'd find it really amusing; he's a very enthusiastic person, and I mean that in exactly the way it sounds.

Registering for gifts feels kind of weird – like you’re telling people what to get for you. So we went into it with the theory that we should list everything in the store that we wouldn’t be looking for a way to return (or hide in the closet, or “re-gift” to the next person we know who gets married) if someone gave it to us. We don’t expect to get even a quarter of the stuff on the list, but that way people have a wide variety to choose from of stuff they know we’ll like.

Also, I was planning on doing a couple of champagne flutes(but wanted to ask you about it, so that, if you okay the idea, you could pick the order of the names, date, font, etc.,) and I've been wavering on what else to send.
Besides that would y'all just like something off the registry, something like ElJay suggested or would you be interested in having something else etched? Engagement photo? Wedding photo? (I'd have to wait till after the wedding, but might be pretty cool, if your photographer is any good. ) Or something else? I know a guy who I can talk into doing something for me. It's gonna cost me, but you two are worth it.

Well, tell you what: I was going to grab the rice cooker and/or the sushi settings for you, but I'll be happy to throw in some mustard, as well, on the grounds (heh) that any marriage is better with mustard.
I am, if you can't tell, reasonably passionate about good mustard.

Kayla, champagne flutes would be awesome (although in this case they’d be sparkling juice flutes.)
And I love the idea of having one of the wedding photos etched.
Tom, I collect odd mustards. I pick them up when I travel, and use them in lots of ways – in sauces and salad dressings, on sandwiches, sometimes plain on crackers. So any of the more unusual varieties would be great. (I think I’m down to only about 9 varieties in the house now, from a high of eighteen or so.) Someday I will have tasted every variety of mustard and cream soda in the world! <maniacal laughter>
Fortunately Bob likes mustard too, or we could have had trouble.

I used to use all sorts of mustards. Now I've largely settled on horseradish mustard. It's so good! It's mustard spicy, plus a little extra!

There was a new kind I tried at a hamburger place in Amherst. They had all kinds of funky sodas, and a good cream soda. To be honest, though, A&W is my favorite kind.

There will always be a special place in my heart for Hickory Farms Sweet-Hot Mustard, the first kind I ever actually liked. Couldn't stand the yellow stuff as a kid, and the sweet-hot opened up a whole new world to me.
Now I use a stone ground wasabi mustard as my primary, and then buy anything that looks interesting. It's usually cheaper than shoes, when I feel the need to shop.

I know what you mean about registering Dana - in the end we decided not to, which worked ok. We got 2 ricecookers and a coffee machine we already had though. And a *lot* of phonecalls asking what we wanted - I tend to think weirdness aside it would have been easier to register.

If someone wants to buy a gift from the registry but can't attend the wedding, is there a way to have it sent from the store website directly to the couple? That would make more sense than paying for shipping to me and then shipping again myself.
