My favorite song from Annie is "Maybe."

and Carol Burnett rocks.

Posted by Megan (Member # 5290) on :

I like "Little Girls."

*thinks about how this sounds*

*decide to post it anyway*

But...it really is my favorite song from Annie! Really! Because, as you so rightly pointed out, Carol Burnett does, in fact, rock!

Annie deserves a congressional medal of honor for her letter to Hershey's. It could read

"For her noble attempts to save America from a deadly enemy -- bad chocolate"

You could make it like a "next post" thread and see how long it takes some people to notice it's their turn.

So, Annie, I wasn't sure how or where to bring this up with you, but I'm worried about you.

This is all very surreal. It was weird that this whole episode correlated so with my rather intense thread yesterday (I'm sure it was only intense to me) and current sentiment I've been garnering at Galactic Cactus. It's all kind of the same thing, some huge principle floating around and repetitively manifesting itself, but I can't quite nail it down.

I know we've had a misunderstanding or two over the past couple weeks. I know I don't qualify as a huge principle. But I totally think you are a cool person anyway. [Hail] Annie

I really shouldn't be here. This thread is Annie thema to me.

SPOOOOOOON!!!!!!

Posted by Annie (Member # 295) on :

Oh, I didn't intend anything negative toward you or anyone else at GC, Trisha. It's more of me fighting with my own demons about the principle of civility and when to "discuss" and when to fight and when to shut up and leave.

I'm sorry if it came across any other way.

Y'all are way too nice to me.

Simultaneous posts. [Razz]

I'm reminded of when we used to sing "The Gambler" on Elementary school field trips.

If I posted fluff in a serious moment I offer my regrets. I think Annie is pretty cool BTW and no intentional disrespect was intended.

Slowly over the last year I have come to understand why so many people respect Annie so much.

BTW, what's the missionary situation, Annie?

Thanks, everyone. I'm just in a funk of my own making.

The missionary situation is hopeful - I still owe a huge amount of debt and the job I have won't pay me enough to be able to leave by June like I was hoping.

Annie, are you interested in the thing I was talking about, then?

It's turning into a bigger job than I thought it was going to be, and there's going to be a lot of unexciting grunt work. If you are interested in the unexciting grunt work, I'll split the fee with you.

*Urges Annie on* It sucks such a great person has to have so many trials, thus is life I guess. [Frown]

Annie, I'd like to talk to you about an AnnieClothes commission, but I would insist on paying more than your "Hatrack AnniePants" fee, as it would be a bit more involved and I'd be a bit more picky about what I'd be getting instead of just having you do whatever you want.

I'd like to buy a dark brown tank top or tank dress, I haven't gone shopping for it yet, and have you do mendehi style designs on it in the bleachey stuff. I'd then have coordinating designs done in henna on my arms and probably around the collarbones. So it would be a reverse light on dark/dark on light effect. The idea amuses me... obviously I wouldn't do it too often, but I'd like to be able to.

Let me know if you're interested and if so, I'll start looking for a dress/top and link you to some pictures of the style of design I'm talking about. [Smile]
