*hangs head*

I need to download a picture. Specifically a jpeg image from the net. Even though I have a picture that says it's jpeg, when I attempt to save it I can only save it as bitmap, which doesn't help. There aren't any others options to save it as. What the heck am I doing wrong?

Does your computer have the ability to save it as a jpeg? An old OS we had would only let us save as a bitmap, jpeg was not an option. It was so annoying.

I don't know how to solve it, though (or if it's possible to solve it). Sorry I'm not more help.

Uh, have you tried just saving it as a bitmap than converting it to jpeg?

Fugu, the problem would be that I don't have any idea how to convert it. I suppose I could call Mr. Opera at work, but I hate calling him for stuff like this. [Embarrassed]

I know the computer has the ability to save in other formats, 'cause I've done it before. However, I don't know how I did it!

Save it as a bitmap, open it in a graphics program (even the "paint" accessory) and then use "save as" to save it as a jpeg.

Or you could save the entire webpage, then pick out the jpeg you want and delete the rest.

Converting from jpeg to bitmap and back may cause a loss of resolution, I'm not sure.
