If you were to hypothetically argue against freedom of speech, freedom of the press, the right to peacefully assemble, and the right to petition the government, how would you go about it?
What examples would you cite? Which court rulings? Which philosophers?
I'm considering the limitation of freedom of speech and the right to peacefully assemble that the Allied forces imposed on the Germans to squash Nazi sentiments as one example of why it should at times be limited, but I need some more -- and some philosophy to back me up.
I could also cite how effective Legalism was under the Qin dynasty in uniting China, and the Espionage and Sedition acts of 1917 and 1918, respectively...
