(I tried to find a thread on this...did no one start one? Really?)
So I saw this yesterday and loved it. I'm terrible at writing reviews, but I thought it was really well done. It stayed realistic all the way up until the end...then Hitch and Sara both seemed to do strange, uncharacteristic things that weren't well explained (like her chick flick binge and apology and his total rejection of her apology etc.). But in the end, everyon got the girl that he was supposed to get, so it ended up being a successful romantic comedy. *wink*
The secondary love story (Albert and Allegra) was almost more satisfying than the main story, which I suppose is the point. Albert definitely 'got it' before Hitch did.
Will Smith is so endearing and honest on camera. I always forget that he's "Will Smith" in a way that I can never ever forget that say...Tom Cruise is "Tom Cruise." You know? I guess that means he's an actor. I just like to watch him. I also hope to see Eva Mendez in some more stuff, she's really refreshing.
