I was just wondering. As intelligent people we seem to pride ourselves on seeing the drawbacks in everything.

I don't pride myself in being able to find negative aspects to things I like. It's just that I'm not ashamed to, either. I'm also not ashamed to find positive aspects in things I don't like.

That said, here are a few things I like without reservation.

I like Vanilla Coke.

I like "Freaks and Geeks".

I like Questionable Content.

I like fish. Eating it, I mean. Though they're pretty cool alive, too.

I like that old time rock and roll.

I do agree that finding the good takes as much intelligence as finding the bad. I started this thread to try and say that in a nice way that doesn't attack anyone.

If you really put thought into it, that's hard.

I mean, I was going to say I like learning, and I do. But, can I really say I always like learning, in every circumstances? No, because I certainly didn't like learning my grandfather was dead.

I like chocolate, but I do have reservations about it because it's fattening.

I like sunshine, but not when I get sunburned.

That is really, really tough. I'll have to think.

Without reservation I can say I like:

A hot bath with lavender scented bath salts in the water.

Watching my children when they're playing outside - with the sunlight in their hair and the sounds of their laughter.

The feeling of cuddling with my husband on a cold night.
