Did anyone catch the new South Park episode. In short, they made fun of God(when don't they?), Terry Schiavo, and the new Sony PSP.

In the beginning of the episode, we find Cartman going to the toy store to get a PSP. He gets there, there is a huge line, and Kenny is at the front. Anyway, Kenny gets a PSP and Cartman doesn't.

Kenny gets the game Heaven and Hell, a strategy game where you command God's army against Satan, to go with his PSP and he is really good. It shows various scenes, from any of three days, and then we find Kenny in the street. Just as he reaches level 60, the last level, he gets run over by an ice cream truck.

He goes to Heaven where he is told that he was killed on purpose. Gabriel says that the PSP was sent down by God to find one worthy of commanding God's army in the final confrontation. They take Kenny to the place where he will make commands. They show him the Golden PSP, the ultimate in PSP's it will allow him to issue commands to all of God's army.

Just as Satan's army reaches the gates of Heaven, Kenny disappears. We are now at a hospital, Hell's Pass Hospital. Kenny has been brought back to life after a day of death and is on a feeding tube.

Satan is just happy that Heaven no longer has a Keanu Reeves type guy, but he may be foiled by Cartman. In Kenny's will, he left Cartman his PSP. But when Kenny was discovered to be alive he doesn't get it.

He takes his case to the Supreme Court in an attempt to have the feeding tube removed, ring any bells?

Anyway, I won't tell you the ending in case you haven't seen it yet. [Razz]

Edit: I thought it was really funny. [Evil Laugh]

I started laughing really, really hard when I realized they were going to be doing a Terry Shiavo mockery. The kahunas on those guys have to be made out of brass.

Either way they are geniuses.

Hmm... a young boy is chosen to play a game to command an army to fight a scary enemy in space.

HMMMM... where have I heard that before????

*did think of EG while watching that episode*

It's way more Starfighter than Ender, though.

I think it's more EG than last starfighter. With last starfighter, the videogame is more directly parallel. But the goal is not to find one of many starfighters (remember, all the starfighter pilots died in a raid - there were supposed to be lots) but rather to find a commander.

I admit, I laughed, quite hard.

Yet, at the same time, I distinctly remember thinking "Yeah, I'm probably going to hell for laughing at this." [Evil]

This is the one South Park episode I have ever watched. While it was funny, I was saddened by thier mockery of Terri Schiavo.

So did I! [Big Grin] I don't feel like a total geek now.

Compromise:

Ender's Starfighter?

The Last Game? The Last Ender?

Well, I laughed. And I thought they were mocking the media circus rather than Mrs. Schiavo herself.
