Posted by Morbo (Member # 5309) on :
awww ((annie)) She was sick in AIM chat last night so I let her go early, though we wanted to chat.
And now she's sliced her finger up! Feel better, Ms. Dashwood!

Get better babe.
And here's one for Hobbesy too.
(((Hobbes))
Posted by Choobak (Member # 7083) on :
Sorry, but i'm not sur to understand. Is she "our" Annie of Hatrack ?
I hope she get well now.
Posted by Morbo (Member # 5309) on :
Choobak, she used to be "our" Annie of Hatrack--now she's Hobbes' Annie of Hatrack.
She uses "Marianne Dashwood" on her livejournal. It was the name of some fictional heroine, from Ernest Hemmingway I think.
Posted by Choobak (Member # 7083) on :
Morbo, Marianne Dashwood is from Jane Austen's "Sense and Sensibility."
Posted by JonnyNotSoBravo (Member # 5715) on :
(((Annie))). You have a lovely avatar for your livejournal, btw.

Poor Annie.

On an unrelated note...I wonder how many women identify themselves with an Austen heroine. I want to be Elizabeth Bennett, but in reality, I think I'm a lot more like Anne Elliot.

Hugs, Annie.
Posted by Annie (Member # 295) on :
Awww! Thanks, everyone (and Cecily darling especially). I'm feeling a bit better and currently trying to talk my mom into letting me stay home and rest today.
And Megan... just for you Posted by Jonathan Howard (Member # 6934) on :
I must remember, Hatrack, that you are so paranoic I'll never do this again.
All the best, Annie! We love you~!

Apparently, I am Elinor Dashwood.
Upon reflection, I suppose I do not find that terribly surprising.

(((((((((((((Annie))))))))))))) I Love you Baby, keep getting better.
(And if you're going to be listening to confrence online, you should give some thought to hoping onto AIM )

And how much Conference will we listen to while we're on AIM? (Just kidding. )
Megan, I am truly Elinor Dashwood as well and I'm now proud to admit it and accept you into the Elinor fold.
Oh and, you're welcome Annie dear. I hope you're doing better today.

Well, Annie! Take care of that finger . . . get better soon!
Posted by Susie Derkins (Member # 7718) on :
I did get some real gauze eventually. It was really fun peeling the cheesecloth out of the open wound.
Other than that, I'm fine.
Posted by Susie Derkins (Member # 7718) on :
Oh... and I'm Annie.
Posted by Narnia (Member # 1071) on :
What's with the name change? I actually almost complimented you on your suave newbieness in another thread...then I looked at your profile.
I'm glad that you're doing better though. When does your art show open up?
Posted by Susie Derkins (Member # 7718) on :
I'm toying with the idea of doing a landmark, and had five posts in which to decide.
And my show opened last Friday. I think I've now successfully weirded out the whole town.
Posted by Narnia (Member # 1071) on :
Yes! Weird-out is successful!! Nah, I bet they're impressed and I imagine that they don't know what to do with 'the talent' of the town. *wink*
Posted by Susie Derkins (Member # 7718) on :
Meanwhile, horseshoe paintings and antler chandeliers are selling nicely.
Posted by Narnia (Member # 1071) on :
LOL!
*pat pat* All great artists are underappreciated in their homeland so I hear...

I may resort to giving pieces away and forcing them to sign a contract saying they'll display it.

I hate Jane Austen.
*runs away from Megan and Annie*
Posted by Susie Derkins (Member # 7718) on :
It doesn't bother me personally, kq, it just confirms my fears... you're not a girl at all, but a replicant.
Posted by Anna (Member # 2582) on :
(((Annie-Susie))) Get well, darling. I'm sorry I didn't check my LJ friends page to know that !

Posted by Anna (Member # 2582) on :
Besides... Kq, note that I say that for you since I never said it before... I don't hate Jane Austen's books. But I don't particulary like them either. *runs and hides in the same hole than kq* *mutters : "I'm not a replicant ! I'm a real woman !"*

Hugs to Annie and a heads up that the punwit party will be visiting Helena in mid-June. Perhaps we'll be able to get together for lunch or something?

quote:I get out the metal ruler and the Exacto knife and line up my trim marks nicely. Terry, the ever-helpful copy desk lady asks if I need a new blade. "I'll see," I tell her. "This one looks pretty sharp."
That one is pretty sharp. It slices off a beautifully smooth oval section of my finger in one smooth motion... [section cut]
"How deep is it?"[asks Terry]
"Pretty deep." I decide not to show her the nice oval slice of my own skin I'm holding in my palm, even though it's a good indicator of the size of the wound.--from Annie's livejournal
I may resort to giving pieces away and forcing them to sign a contract saying they'll display it.--Annie as Susie in this thread
Ewww, a little too avant-garde for my taste. Feel better, (Annie)!
