why are they called spiders? they clearly have ten legs
Posted by His Savageness (Member # 7428) on :
Camel Spiders aren't spiders or scorpions, they are a different kind of Arachnid called Sulifugids. The front pair of "legs" are actually modified antenna called pedipalps.

I love the rhino squirrel. Posted by bunbun (Member # 6814) on :
I foresee a new pet in the Dagonee household--a rhino squirrel. It's cute, but clearly not a suck-up.
For the purposes of this competition, I would nominate the rabid racoon that bit me last February. For visuals, I will just say it was toothy, furry, about the size of a toaster, and hissed profusely.

! did you have to get shots in your guts?
Posted by bunbun (Member # 6814) on :
Nope, the shots were administered in the arm or the butt. The horrible part was having the wounds (bites, slashes) injected with immunoglobulin.

Yikes. I have an irrational fear of rabies.
Posted by bunbun (Member # 6814) on :
It's not irrational.
