OKEY DOKEY.

Since very few of you read my story "The Mirror" I decided to get some attention (I'm so lonely [Frown] )by starting the AXIOM AXIS.

The idea is to keep the thread alive by posting axioms others have written or some you have come up with. Here's the definition of axioms and a few starters. Can anyone guess which ones the Hammer wrote?

An Axiom is:
An established rule, principle, or law.
A self-evident principle or one that is accepted as true without proof as the basis for argument; a postulate.

Hammer’s Axiom’s of life:

A day without sunshine is like, well, night.

On the other hand, you have different fingers.

Change is inevitable, except from a vending machine.

We are only limited by our ability to dream

Been there. Done that. Forgot most of it.

The epiphany of life is not in reaching your ultimate destination, but in the journey to get there.

How long a minute is depends on which side of the bathroom door you are on.

If the facts are against you, argue the law. If the law is against you, argue the facts. If the facts and the law are against you, yell like hell.

The love letter you finally got the courage to send will be delayed in the mail long enough for you to make a fool of yourself in person.

No matter where you go, or what bridge you sleep under, a pigeon will find you.

Who's next???

About ten years ago, I wrote this. I still believe most of it.

The list is great, but---do they meet the definition of axioms?? Your thoughts.

I have a copy of that list on my computer. Does this make me too much of a Tom groupie?

Nah, that's a fanboy trait.

Hammer -- because you go out of your way to drop mentions of your "homelesness" in your posts, I believe it is an affectation.
