If anyone has Rivka's home phone number, could you do me a huge favor and call her answering machine and leave a message that I woke up late and am running behind? Hopefully she will hear the message.

Edit: This was intended to be a Mayfly, but I forgot to delete it once I got there.

I only have the number of the cellphone she rented while she was in Israel in september... somehow I don't think that will help you much.

Sorry!

But would she be able to hear the answering machine?

She said she was able to hear the answering machine if she was in the same room.

Note to self: If you suggest that people try leaving messages on your answering machine, be sure they have the phone number.

Yeah, Stan, they're fun. I'm surprised you got home as soon as you did. I-5 was a mess, though not as bad as this morning. I managed to lane split for a lot of it, but it was still a pain, especially since the traffic was rubber-banding a lot, up to 50, down to 40, up to 60, down to 10...

I stopped for dinner after the sun went down. Then I fell in with a group of other riders about Camp Pendleton and we carved through traffic pretty well back to San Diego. Four motorcycles make an impression.

No harm, no foul Rivka! [Smile] Wouldn't have been a problem if I hadn't turned my alarm clock volume down instead of up last night. [Confused]

Thanks so much for your excellent hospitality. I had a great time meeting all of you, and it was a real trip being in a house with so many kids running around.

Rivka, I mentioned it but did not elaborate on the thought--your kids all have such strong and unique personalities. Every child is an individual, of course, but yours display so very much individuality, I think it speaks well of you and them.

And Moose and Squirrel, you have two very unnaturally cute kids... Are you part of some government program or something?

Stan, it was a pleasure, as well. Too bad you're shipping out so soon!

You are more than welcome. I really enjoyed meeting you -- I see why ElJay speaks so highly of you. [Smile]

It cleared up around 7:30. Then I made time and followed traffic that was going 80-85 mph.

It was great meetin all of ya.

Yeah, but it's a chance for me to grow professionally. By doing this instructor duty I get to pass on some of my steaming experiences with the people that are training to be in my field. Who knnows, some of these people could be on another ship with me in the future.

If anyone has rivka's phone number, they'd better give it back, and right quick. I'm just sayin'.

I don't think you want to stay on rivka's bad list. [No No]

Happy Birthday to rivka!

Happy Birthday,

Happy Birthday to you!

[Big Grin] Thanks, CT.

And you're right about the phone number -- especially since it's actually my parents' number.

Never mind my bad list. Be afraid of my mother's! [Angst]
