This looks really promising.

Ancanar started off as a desire to do a movie on the Silmarillion...but the Tolkien estate said no to the use of names. So they decided to make an original tale, bascially modeled around the tale of the Downfall of Gondolin.

Of course this started off as just a small independent movie...probably no better than an original Sci-Fi Channel production or worse...but it looks like a real movie house might pick them up!

Looks cool. It'll be interesting to see where it ends up.

Telp -- your job is to make sure that I see this movie when it comes out. 'Cuz I know I'll forget about it.

Ha, yes. I'm liking this trend of high quality fantasy...

I hope they DO make this movie into something great...and I hope they have good actors. That woman is a little...amateurish. BUT! I have high hopes for them, it looks like it will be great fun.

Yes, the acting and the lines are... lacking. But it seems like it has potential, at least! [Smile]

This has been kicking around for quite a while. I'm also looking forward to seeing it, but not expecting it any time soon.

Yah... 1999? 6 years with no release? Well, at least we know the creators really love their work.
