It's a short movie. What bites is that it's 35MB *mutter*

Anyway, it's a "commercial" made from my friend's wedding in Atlanta. I was in said wedding. I didn't do anything till the last minute.

The commercial is funny. Or meant to be, anyway.

Unfortunately for me, that is a piece of music I have strong and negative associations with. Otherwise, sweet and very funny.

Interesting that you should say that, Rivka. On my groupie list, we were discussing songs that are sacred to us. I mentioned that I thought Bo had made a big blunder by doing Freebird, because it has such strong connections for people.

One guy, who was a hippie in the 70s in high school, in the South, said the Lynyrd Skynyrd guys would always harrass them and beat them up, and that is what he thinks of when he hears that song.

(sorry to derail, Mack, but Rivka started it, dagnabbit.)

rivka! How can you possibly hate Pachelbel's Canon in D Minor?

I must say, though, that was the second-worst version of the Canon I heard; the worst was one where it turned into an Irish bar-song. Suddenly you get Celts doing the Canon by intuition. (No idea where or when, but I heard it on radio in Ireland.)

I didn't say I hated it. It just makes me unhappy and queasy. [Wink]

Back when I was in high school (lo, those many years ago), there was an AfterSchool Special (I think it may have actually been the first one ever) that involved a teenager who tried to kill herself. She called someone after she'd taken the pills, and they figured out where she was because of that song playing in the background.

So I don't have the best associations with the song, no.
