51 down, three more to go. *tired*

Please tell me why you have to fill out this app 54 times?! I am currently filling one out for UNMC (University of Nebraska Medical Center). It's going on 2 weeks and it's still not done.
Posted by rivka (Member # 4859) on :
Because I have to fill it out for 54 different students.
. . . and DONE! *prints last signature form*
YES!

Now all I have to do is get 13 of 'em to sign the signature page, and and 34 to fill out, sign, and have their parents sign the dual-curriculum form.
Once the paperwork is mailed off, I will be very happy.

Wow.
Oh, and I did concurrent enrollment at that college! It was fun. Posted by rivka (Member # 4859) on :
This is not concurrent enrollment, exactly. It's dual-curriculum, where the same class counts for both HS and college credit. The idea is that next year's seniors will graduate with 6 credits (early childhood, so they'll be qualified to work as a nursery aide); and the class following will get 6 next year and 6 the year after. With 12 credits they can be hired as a nursery teacher, I gather.

I had a friend who did that. And another friend who did it at Glendale CC.
I just took a couple of classes for fun because senior year I switched from a Glendale school to one running on LAUSD standards, and not very strictly adhering to those, as a "special" school... It was basically to keep me sane, or I might have done that.

Sanity is over-rated.

Well. It obviously didn't work, so I'll have to agree with you on that one. Posted by rivka (Member # 4859) on :

You're a saint rivka.
I read somewhere that SMC sends more students to UCLA than any other community college in California.

*amused* Dunno about sainthood. But I am glad I won't have to see that form again for a long time.

Rivka is, in fact, the patron saint of hair-washing fetishists.

You have to forgive me, rivka. You're a saint. Posted by rivka (Member # 4859) on :
Wanna bet?

I loved that show!
I think we are meant to be together, rivka.
And by be together, of course, I mean co-exist on this forum. Posted by rivka (Member # 4859) on :
If you loved that show so much, why are you never on my other favorite forum?
First season hits DVD in June. Posted by ketchupqueen (Member # 6877) on :
Well, 'cause I'm not into fanfic much. Also, Hatcrack eats all my time. But cool forum!
*runs to put season 1 on Netflix list*

Not even Seasons 5 and 6?
Posted by ketchupqueen (Member # 6877) on :
Oooooooooh! Shiny!
*abandons rivka's hair for the time being to drool over Superman's greatest incarnation a while*

When you're done with all 42 (I think) episodes, and want more . . . well, there's no Season 7, but quite a number of those authors are still actively writing. Pam, for instance.
