It looked out of place creeping down a country road in Oklahoma. It crawled past our house, slowing as it came to the driveway. Surely it would turn the other way.

Nope.

It turned on to the property, and, ever so slowly, rolled on down the dirt road toward the other houses and buildings.

My husband jumped up off the couch and ran for the door. It's part of his job to make sure nothing wierd happens here, and this surely qualified.

Turns out the guy driving the car had just bought it. He lives not too far from here, and was looking for a "log cabin" that is on a list of "Historical Places" and that was, supposedly, on this property.

But before he got to that part of his story, he pulled out a badge to show my husband as ID. It was from a county in Florida, and said "Honorary" on it.

Well, poor hubby had no idea what this guy was talking about, so sent him on his way. When he got home, he called the landowner and asked him about it. Turns out this "log cabin" really is here, but it's been turned into a regular house. If you go in the attic, you can look down between the new walls and the old walls and see the old timbers. Cool.

So hubby goes and does an internet search so he can call the guy and tell him he wasn't crazy for looking here. He can't find anything, so I pull out my Google-fu, and within seconds he was on the phone with the guy's Managing Firm. I told him to call them instead of the Booking Agent, since they'd be more likely to be in regular contact with him.

Oh yeah, this guy was in the Rolls.

Not as cool as a Natalie Portman sighting, but cool nonetheless.

What, you didn't invite him onto the porch for some lemonade while you called the owner? [Razz]

No porch, no lemonade, and I didn't even get to see the man, much less talk to him. Hubby chased him down in his truck...the one with blinky lights. [Big Grin]

...and he didn't even ask for an autograph! [Mad]
